Pathfinder: I have had this knife for over a year now and it is still sharp. I use it about everyday. Single piece of metal no breaking points. I bought 2 more, I have one in my M1T1 kit and another in my BOB unit.

QualityTrumpsAll: The reason for my lower rating of this product is because of the joke of a warranty and my lack of use of this knife. I can’t really say how good the metal is but mine came razor sharp or at least very close to it. The warranty is, like I said a joke, if you do anything other than carry it or whittle with it than you void the warranty but I don’t think you’ll need the warranty. Buy some USA made Paracord while you’re at it too.
The sheaths these knives come with are not top notch but not terrible in my opinion for just under $10. When you pull the knife out the sheath does scrape some of the black coating off, just a little mind you. So I like to put WD40 on it to lubricate it and help protect from rust (not that I have any problem with them rusting, just keeping them in good condition).

This is my second little over seas made ka bar i own (yes it’s still a real ka bar, ka bars website even says these China made knives are part of ka bars production, just made somewhere different) I have No complaints on this knife for the price. The sheath holds the blade in well and it doesn’t rattle or fall out. My blade came hair shaving sharp. I wouldnt go out stabbing trees or throwing this thing as I know it would break but for cutting (it’s intended use) it will do just fine. Great little knife to pair up with a bigger one for smaller tasks. Solid buy, I’ll be buying a third little ka bar soon.

DuraznitoDuraznito: Este es un pequeño cuchillo de acero inoxidable tipo Skeleton de hoja un poco curveada.
Se complementa con su funda de plástico, donde ajusta a la perfección de manera segura, que también se incluye en el paquete.
Su única desventaja, que también podría ser un atributo, es que es muy pequeño, y por lo tanto, se vuelve difícil de sostener o empuñar, por lo que no debería considerarse un cuchillo de trabajo.
Al presentar una empuñadura "desnuda", se puede usar paracord para envolverla y hacer un poco más cómodo el agarre.
Al sacarlo de su empaque, cuenta con un filo aceptable, que bien sirve para lo general que podría necesitarse.

Rick(OLD): I was very disappointed when I received this package and it read "Made in China"! I ordered this knife from Ka-Bar given their US Military heritage. I was under an apparently false impression that they were a US company and their products were "Made in the U.S.A". Man, I was I ever wrong! This is definitely a time where assumptions and simple brand recognition came back to bite me! With that said, I am giving this review 3 stars as the knife is a decent blade and came sharp out of the package. My initial evaluation of the sheath is good. It holds the blade snug but not so tight that it's difficult to remove quickly for use. This was an important feature for me as this is a neck knife for my 11yr old son. It's light, so it won't wear on him as we hike throughout the day. It's secured fitly in the sheath so I'm not concerned about it accidentally falling out and causing injury. It's easy to remove for use so I know he' have it in hand when he needs it. The one and only concern I have is while we're hiking if he catches the skeletonized handle on brush it could yank out. We are thinking about paracord wrapping the handle but will most likely leave it and he'll just have to pay...
