I built a shelter for her and she didn't go in it until I put the heating pad in it and a light. Now she is going in it every evening to sleep. I put a towel on top of it. I just with it wasn't so hard.

Shari Parrish: I bought one of these about 10+ years ago. It still works, but I worried that it would finally quit working this winter so I bought another one. This is mainly for an outdoor cat who sleeps on it in my garage both day and night when it gets cold. If you have an outdoor pet then this is ideal for them. It is easy to care for with the removable, washable cover and easy to wipe clean plastic base.

0000: This seems to do what it states and keeps my outdoor cat warm inside her house. This is for a semi feral cat that doesn't want to live indoors, at least not yet. This is an excellent choice for anyone in the same situation with colder weather arriving.

JulesJules: Mr. David here will be kept extra toasty this winter! Every time I open his house, it feels just as warm as it does inside our regular house. Before this heating pad, he would curl up into a ball, trying to retain heat. Now he completely lays out, almost too warm. Dave and I are completely in love with this product!

Kristin Kivari: We built an insulated cat shelter for our feral rescue. This heated cat pad keeps the interior of the shelter warm and cozy. I check on it often, very impressed with the consistent temperature!
The pad came with a sherpa pad that attaches with elastic on the corners. It is white, so you may want to opt for the cover if you want to keep it from getting too dirty. A thin blanket overtop would probably do the same job though.
