Johnson's Soft & Gentle Baby Hand & Face Wipes

Tazzie Amazon: So, I don’t have any kids, but I do have sensitive skin so I’ve found baby wipes (as opposed to makeup remover wipes) to be better in preventing an allergic reaction, which typically consists of temporary redness and heat, when removing my makeup. These wipes work great for that!

On a typical day my makeup consists of primer, foundation/BB/CC cream, setting powder, highlighter, eye shadow, mascara, setting spray. I put it on at about 7am before work, and remove at around 9pm at night, with the occasional touch up throughout the day. One of these wipes is large (and tough) enough to remove the makeup from my entire face, including eyeshadow, in just a few swipes. Note though, that they will not completely remove mascara, even non-waterproof. Waterproof mascara there’s no hope, and that’s fine since they don’t say they do remove it, or make any claims that way.

The consistency of the wipes is quite robust. They feel strong, and have never ripped. They’re not overly damp either, which is nice. There is a slight scent, kind of hard to identify (reminds me a little of babies – funny that!), but not unpleasant and I don’t think it would trigger anyone with...

Christine: I purchased these wipes specifically for wiping my baby's face and hands. I was wary of using regular baby wipes because they weren't intended for face and hands, only baby bottoms. At least with these, I figured they would be gentle enough for his face and safe enough for hands that tend to wander into his mouth all the time. I had also purchased a pack of Babyganics Hand & Face wipes before this box arrived so I was able to compare the two. Hands down, I preferred the Johnson's pack. The smell was pleasant and the wipes were soft and had just enough moisture to clean him up easily.

Pros:
- Pleasant smell. It smells just like I imagine a baby would and it isn't overpowering either.
- Soft cloth, perfect for gently wiping his face. We use this in the morning and night for quick clean-ups, as well as when we're on the go. I have a pack for the upstairs, downstairs, and in both of our diaper bags.
- Easy-open package. I love the flip top which I can open one-handed. Great when I'm in a public restroom and trying to keep baby from wriggling off the changing table. The wipes also come out one at a time so I'm not constantly putting unused wipes back in.

Sharry Kim: My baby doesn't use any Johnson's products, obviously not a fan of their products but I still can really appreciate their Johnson's Baby Hand & Face Wipes, 25-count pack. First of all, I am giving this a 4-star rating instead of a 5-star rating for two reason: 1.It's scented, and though the smell isn't bad I would have loved if they had made a fragrance-free one since I always opt for fragrance-free, and 2.It's kind of expensive, at the Rite-Aid near my home at 25-count pack goes for about 3.5 dollar. The reasons why I appreciate this product is that as my son is getting a little older he's been getting into many things, a lot of which he shouldn't touch but does, of course, and so it's always handy to have these wipes that are made to kill germs as well as wipe. It's comforting to know that they were made specifically for hands and face because you just never know what they put into the wipes that are made for wiping their little tushes. Also, most importantly, the size. There are only 25-wipes in one pack so the pack is pretty small, about a large wallet size, perfect size to keep in my purse! That way I can always have it with me.

P. M.: I love anything that will help me reduce my baby's crying and whining when she's made to undergo the torture (!?) of having her face wiped off after a typically messy eating session, and this does the trick!! The fact that I am writing this review shows how thankful I am, because I am usually too busy to bother. But this is one of those saving graces. I used to buy Mustela facial wipes on occasion, but they were SO prohibitively expensive, I only used them when feeling a little like splurging. Luckily I found these on Amazon, and my baby actually prefers the J&J ones to Mustela, so much so she'll hold on to one for quite a while and play with it. This is one of my must-haves now. I second the reviewer "casca" who said the smell is actually quite pleasant and light. Don't know what some of the other negative reviewers were talking about when complaining about the smell. This is not something I noticed at all. It just smells like a baby, and wipes her face cleaner than just water would.
