T. Heaton: Works well on my painted cabinet. Place it exactly correct because there's no chance of moving it even a little bit once placed without irreparably ruining the adhesive. But if you do mess up, they included two extra adhesive pads. If you're left with extras, these pad could be useful in other contexts. MUCH stronger than normal tape. Mine have been up for several weeks and are working well. As with many adhesive pads, hold them in place tightly for a good minute and don't hang anything on it for 24 hrs. You'll get a much stronger, longer-lasting hold if you follow that instruction.
