Daniel Leitão: Um dos melhores livros deste autor que recomendo vivamente que leiam.

Suzie: I’m a casual Wilco fan. Listened on and off over the years. Picked up How To Write One Song and loved it, and listened to a couple of podcasts with Jeff which eventually lead me here. I’m a musician myself and found this book full of good advice, inspiration, and interesting and downright funny stories. I think even people not familiar with the music would enjoy this. I also tore through it in a few days - first time I’ve done that with a book for years. Excellent read.

Neil W: Would highly recommend for any Wilco fan, or a Jeff's music in general.

S. R. Ellis: This is the best autobiography, and especially music autobiography, I’ve ever read. You don’t have to be a fan of Wilco or any of Tweedy’s other musical ventures to get into this. I know because I had very little knowledge of Wilco or Tweedy before reading, and I was still completely into the book the entire time (which, despite loving books, is also rare for me, I get bored with most books midway through). I’d seen this book at the bookstore, where I go to viscously judge books by their covers and lust after many books I’ll never actually read, and it looked interesting enough that I took mental note. I’d been listening to the podcast Cocaine and Rhinestones that is biographies on various historic country musicians, which led me to interest in biographies of musicians. I’d just finished Merle Haggard’s, and was deciding what came next, when someone recommended this. I didn’t want to get too burned out on the vintage country genre, so I gave this a shot, and boy I’m glad I did.

As others I’ve seen at least one other reviewer say here (about her husbands opinion of the book), Tweedy put parts of my personality and experience with life into words in a...

Tom O'Neill: Great book by great songwriter. His reflections on the art of songwriting should be studied by any musician that sees music as an art rather than as a commodity. Tweedy is also full of humor and humility - this is no hagiography, but an honest and engaging memoir.

Duane Schneider: Among musicians, Tweedy is one of the better lyricists. I think he even came out with a book of poetry a few years back, so I had an inkling his memoir would be well-written, which it was. I read “Let’s Go” a few months after reading Carrie Brownstein’s memoir, and while both are great they’re quite a bit different in tone. I expected Brownstein’s book to be more funny and irreverent like “Portlandia” but it was almost a little stiff and academic. Tweedy’s book is more conversational, compulsively readable, and unpretentious. He hits all the themes he knows readers will want to hear about, like his perspective on the breakup of Uncle Tupelo, the dropping of Jay Bennett from Wilco, the prescription drug addiction, his wife’s health scares, recording music with his son, etc. It’s a lot of ground to cover, and Tweedy does an excellent job arranging the material. There are a couple things he tackles in-depth, specifically his falling out with Jay Farrar and his pill addiction. What I really appreciated about “Let’s Go,” however, is that Tweedy didn’t just provide a chronology and commentary. It isn't a “this happened and then this happened” type of...

Avid reader: I read this book in one sitting. This is one fine writer. And the challenge of writing a personal memoir - a genre that is trending right now - in such an original and genuine way is really refreshing. For those who are not music connoisseur (which is my case), don't shy away from reading this book. The human journey alone is well worth the read!
