Troy Clayton: I tried this lash curler on both settings, with and without mascara and my lashes look the same. I am not impressed that it did not curl my lashes any better than the good ole manual curler I have.

There is two settings of heat depending what you prefer. With my experience, it works better when you have mascara on first so as it cools, the mascara will hold its curled form better/longer. It does getting very warm. If you are on the highest setting, make sure to not touch your sensitive eye lid.
I was honestly kind of scared to put that type of heat by my eye ball😆 but it feels really relaxing and soothing. It does take a little bit more time to get a big curl but i definitely recommend if you feel like the traditional curlers are pull your eye lashes out.
