JD778: Got this to reset the TPMS on a 2022 GMC Sierra 3500HD and it failed to reset or relearn. I did follow the user manual for this device and I did put the truck in relearn mode as per GMC owners manual. Looks like I got a defective transmitter. Returning.

Easley: Put 4 new tires and 4 new TPMS sensors on my car 6 months ago. Since then, the TPMS light never came on. A few days ago the TPMS light came on solid. Checked the air pressure in all 4 tires and it was the recommended pressure. Don’t know why the light came on? I bought this tool for 6.99. I bought 3 feet of 20 gauge solid core copper electric wire from Home Depot for 1.00. To use this relearn tool regardless of the make THE CAR MUST BE IN THE RELEARN MODE. To put my Nissan car in the relearn mode for DIY. I stuck one end of the 20 gauge wire in the little white 1 wire TPMS plug-in under the dash. Turn the ignition on where all the lights come on the dash without starting the car. The TPMS light is on solid. In the first 10 seconds after turning on the ignition, you take the other end of the 20 ga wire and tap it 6 times on a bare metal ground point of the car. The TPMS light will start flashing indicating the car is in the learn mode. For a Nissan there are several videos on YouTube to ground out the TPMS and put in the learn mode. The Nissan dealer uses a scan tool to plug into this little white plug under the dash and put the TPMS system in the learn mode. You can do same...

Chuck: Can't really complain about this unit which was under 10$. The only issue I had, was that I installed 3 batteries that showed as GOOD on my tester. The tool did not show the battery light as low, but it would not successfully relearn wheels. So I installed three brand new batteries right out of the box, and it worked fine, so be sure you have fresh batteries. Used on my 2022 Chevy Silverado 3500 HD.

R. J. Hospes: It worked on my 2012 GMC 2500. I figured for the price I would give it a shot. It is finicky as to where you point it to trigger the sensor for the sequence. The easiest and fastest way it worked for me was actually pointing the antenna at the base of the valve stem towards where the sensor would be and kind of changing positions. It should recognize it pretty quick so if it doesn't activate within 5 seconds change positions and try another spot. It shouldn't take long. The hardest part was finding that sweet spot for to work on each tire. But once you kind of figure that out it goes quick and I did it all within 2 minutes. So for the price of it it was well worth it. Now I can rotate my tires without having taken it to the shop for them to reset the system for me.

ELEL: I spent 15 minutes trying to figure it out and then watched YouTube videos. I couldn't get it to work. Was about to return the item until I decided to read the instruction sheet. For this particular tool, you will need to press and hold it at a specific location until you hear the vehicle's horn. The proper location is to point the antenna parallel to the valve and just above the metallic rim on the rubber portion of the tire.
