Katie Gray: I was so excited when I saw this fan, and after receiving it it did not disappoint! The print of the cat is very clear better than the photos even, and the carrying case it comes with is adorable! I'm very happy with this purchase.
The fan is a little stiff, but I think it's just because it is new and needs to be broken in a little bit. I'm sure I'll be able to unfurl it with a nice Snap! In no time!

CharlamattarangaCharlamattaranga: The media could not be loaded. Appearance: very cute, love the cat. The size is perfect for a pocket or a purse, which is what I was looking for. The paint design is fine, and the fabric edge does feel like it could be silk. The tassel is thin and a bit scraggly. This is not a very fancy fan, but it has a cat on it, so what were you expecting?
Movement: if you are going for some Katya-cat-fan-thworp motion, you are not going to get it. It's a thin bamboo fan, and it gets a little caught up when you try to close it. But unless you're regularly in a situation where you need a real smooth clapping action from your fan, it's perfectly fine and easy to fold back together.
Pouch: nice bonus! Cute design.
Sturdiness: pretty solid when it's closed, and the pin is strong. I'm not worried about it opening the wrong direction, and it stays closed when it's closed. Definitely a step up from a plastic fan, and on par with most wooden fans I've owned, though perhaps a little thinner sticks.
