Kindle Customer: This was a good book to read, not a great book, but a good one. I think the subject matter was a stretch to believe and there are several topics that were not mentioned that Reacher knew about that was not included in this book. I don’t know how to explain it but it’s something I think I missed while reading.
I do recommend reading this book. It’s another Reacher saving other people even those not wroth saving.

Amazon Customer: Ordered several books (from a series) that I hadn't read. Good service, good price (second hand) and good condition. Very satified.

Kindle Customer: I love the Jack Reacher series. This one was different because he forced himself to get involved for a somewhat flimsy reason. He is hitchhiking west and comes a nice town called Hope CO. He then continues west to a not very nice town, Dispair. He tries to get a cup of coffee in the diner and no one serves him. He then is attacked and run out of town by 3 thugs. The Hope sherrif, the ubiquitous attractive woman for Reacher to sleep with, is at the border. She says it's a company town and they don't like strangers
Of course Reacher keeps going there to find out what's going on. He gets run out of Despair over and over. He runs into the owner of the huge recycling plant and the minister of the town who also owns everything in the town.
It's not obvious why Reacher keeps going there because there is nothing obviously wrong about the town other than they don't like unemployed strangers lurking. He and the Sherrif of Hope keep trying to figure it out and they do in the last 15 pages.
If you like Jack Reacher it's a good story. If you want an exciting mystery you may be disappointed. I do like Jack, but I was unenthused by the flimsy motivation.

R. Loe: Lee Child can weave an interesting tale about Jack Reacher but may drive readers who are familiar with proper sentence structure and use of punctuation to the brink. I know that’s the case for me. I purchased the entire Jack Reacher series of books after seeing the first season of the series. I never would have read so many of his books if I hadn’t already paid for them.
I have often wondered why, with all the money that Lee Child must have brought in from his writing, he can’t seem to afford a staff who will proofread and correct the many mistakes throughout his books. Same goes for his publisher.
I held onto hope with each successive book that he might learn something about writing and make his books easier to read. I hoped, with the addition of his brother on the last couple, that the books would improve but seemed to get only worse. Sometimes, 2 whole pages of back-and-forth banter are written with nothing to occasionally let you know who is speaking, so multiple readings may be needed at times to sort it out. I think almost all, if not all, of the pages have sentences with commas where none are needed, periods where commas are needed, clauses used as sentences,...
