Kindle Customer: So let me start off by saying that if ultralight backpacking is your goal, this one is probably not for you. It weighs in at 6.5 oz, whereas most "ultralight" trowels will come in at just over half of an ounce.
However, there are some advantages. First, this one will definitely be easier in the hands (the UL ones can be awkward and hurt your hands a bit), especially when digging in tough ground. the serrated edge will cut through roots easier.
In the end, the choice will have to come down to if it is worth the extra weight.

Rachel RRachel R: This little trowel is my new favorite gardening tool. Originally bought it for my husband but after trying it out I had to order another because this one is mine. Works great for planting and also removing weeds from my yard. It also has since additional features like wrenches, saw edge, and the handle is wrapped in 550 paracord that can be used for something I'm sure. A must have for gardening, camping, hiking, or any other outdoor activity. A+ would definitely recommend and buy again.

Amazon Customer: A sturdy little trowel perfect for digging a trench around my tent. Handy serrated edge for clearing small branches. and the paracord wrapped handle gives a solid not slip grip and the cord itself can be very useful to have on hand. Appears to have a durable power coated paint finish which will resist rust. Nice and compact as well

Roddy: Not used in the field yet but looks and feels as described. Possibly worth sharpening edge as other's have done.
Descriptor mentions extended handle attachment thats an error on their part this is the trowel head only.
Will update after field test.
