Wang: despite of the low price, this device actually provide very powerful and comprehensive solution for home sprinkler system.
Pro:
1. very easy to connect with phone, when you open the app your device is already waiting for you, press one button and done
2. the smartlife app is very powerful and comes with advanced functions such as setting a scene if it rains delay the scheduled watering
3. comes with wifi unit can over come short range issue of bluetooth, you can operate anywhere from internet
cons:
the only complain comes with bugs in the app, smartlife app is very ambitious and packed with powerful functions but lack solid testing:
1. big issue is when there is connection loss, the app does not report error, instead it display wrong data
2. if you have scheduled time on one day, you cannot schedule any time that overlaps this time the day before of after that day
3. no one knows how much rain triggers the scene to delay watering, sometimes takes 1 hour of rain trigger, no manual to tell you
overall a very nice product and will satisfy daily needs, especially useful if you are seeding, if they fix the bugs it will be 5 star.

ctech99: Finally got around to running a drip irrigation and sprinkler set I got last year. With everything wired up and mostly working like I needed it to, it was time to add a timer to the whole setup. IMO, the old electronic timers with all the manual dials just don't cut it anymore. The number 1 reason, your time wasted with adjusting something that can't easily be customized without having to go over to the physical device. Easy example, '12' hour repeat, if you first turn it on at 8pm -- your next one would be at 8am. What if that doesn't work for you and you need to adjust it to 6pm and 6am? Yeah ...
Anyway, since I have quite a bit of smartlife devices at home already -- this seemed to be perfect for my setup. At this point, I've realized that keeping the ecosystem homogeneous and in one-app is a good idea.
Install was easy but I did notice a small leak after screwing everything to the garden hose connector -> 1/2 inch drip irrigation connector that a little bit of plumbers tape didn't fix. The sprinklers themselves are bluetooth but they can integrate with the bluetooth to wifi controller that comes with this package. The wifi -> bluetooth module that it comes...

berkinet: The Wi-Fi sprinkler controller (smart hose timer) does exactly what it says it will do and, once set up, it does it well, with one clear limitation: If you wish to be able to control the sprinkler controller remotely, it must be installed within rough line of sight of the included Wi-Fi hub. They say within 50ft, however it can work at greater distance if there are no obstructions.
Unfortunately, the setup instructions are lacking in clarity. Here is what I did on an iPhone...
1. Install the app
2. Plug in the Wi-Fi controller and add it in the app. Note the hub will use whatever network your iPhone is connected to. You can
3. Put batteries in the hose timer
4. Add the hose timer to the app
5. Now, open the Wi-Fi hub in the app and add the hose timer to the Wi-Fi timer. This step is critical if you wish to control the hose timer remotely.
Note there is no need to pair anything with Bluetooth. That is all done automatically by the app.
And, here is how it all works. The actual hose controller does not use Wi-Fi. It is the Wi-Fi hub that connects to both your local Wi-Fi network AND to the hose controllers via Bluetooth. In this way, it acts as a...

Robert L Durrin Jr: This product is pretty much as the review says. I would advise against installing the download software if you already have a smart home. You most likely already have the program to control the valves and hub. I have been Tuya smart software and it did an over ride on the recommended app. Try as I might it would not install. After I opened the Tuya software all went well. So if you have another app that might be using the same software, try going to it first and doing the hub and sprinkler valve install. After I finally got it to install with the Tuya app all works as expected
