Jen: This ear thermometer works as expected. It has clear instructions for use. You can check your temperature by swiping the forehead or checking the temperature in the ear. The cap is a little hard to remove

Sarah: So glad I bought this, wish I had done it sooner! It's so fast, which is ideal with babies and little kids! You can use it instantly in the ear, or use it across the forehead. With 4 boys, we found that the ear method works best because it's literally a one second ordeal. The light up background helps for nighttime readings.

The temperature readings for this thermometer are on average about 4° lower than what they should be. Temperatures for people that felt well in the room were roughly 94°. We did not realize my son had a temperature of 102 until using a different thermometer to confirm he had a fever like we suspected. Realize the thermometer was not reading correctly the day after my eligible return date. Wish we would have realized this sooner so that I would be able to return this product.
