Beth Write: I have had this appliance for some time but am just now writing a review. This is a wonderful air-fryer and is well-used in my house, and it always produces successful, properly cooked items. The learning curve for this appliance is quite small, because the procedures for use are straightforward. The temperature setting appears accurate. As with most air-fryers, a plus is that frozen meats and other foods are nicely cooked without having to be thawed first. It is a good size for single households or empty-nesters, but also large enough to air-fry a 4 pound chicken in it! It produces unmatched taste and texture for air-fried baking potatoes and sweet potatoes--nice crispy peels/shells and soft, creamy, delicious interiors. This appliance is easy to clean. It saves energy by replacing the oven . But the very best feature is the LIGHT!! With this light, one is able to check on the progress of the foods being cooked without having to open the appliance. That saves having burned or overcooked food, and also allows for the addition (or removal) of other foods being cooked in the same appliance that require differing cook times.
I would buy this all over again and would recommend it...

I finally got a full refund after following up with customer service for a number of weeks. But they were consistent and kept their word. So I’ve changed the rating to 3 stars. It’s still a great airfryer but may become a headache for Canadians if something goes wrong.

I loved my Dreo Air Fryer until it stopped working a few weeks ago. It just says 'open' and doesn't switch to the other buttons (mechanical design error). I contacted customer support and they said they would refund me since they don't ship to Canada. Well, over a week later and I still don't see a refund.

I figured out how to keep using it by inserting a plastic tab into the latch located at the bottom. Over time the tab on the basket wears out and no longer makes contact with the latch so the machine thinks it's still open even when fully closed. Hopefully this will help other Canadian Dreo owners.

SunnyFL55: I am thrilled with this Dreo 6.8 qt air fryer! I have been doing research online since I have never used an air fryer but wanted: a good sized basket, but not too heavy or big a unit to manage or store; a view window or door with light; easy to operate for an analytical newbie; easy to clean, non stick plate; temp range up to 450; not too noisy. This fits all my criteria!

I had purchased another bigger unit but returned it because the air fryer did not get hot or stay hot enough to cook. I was so disappointed but figured I got a lemon so was hesitant to try again. But after I read about this Dreo model, decided to take another chance.

The air fryer arrived safely although there were a few holes punched in the outer cardboard box. However the unit was packed with styrofoam and enclosed in a second box, so there was no physical damage that I could see.

The product box was informative and included a Hello and a Thank You for purchasing message along with warranty info and support details. How nice to be recognized and provided with the welcome and important info!

Beverly: I am a seasoned air fryer user and a decent cook. Utility bills are high here so I rarely use my big oven and have found that almost anything you can cook in a an oven, you can cook in the air fryer in less time with great results. I had the Innsky air fryer which I really liked and used it almost everyday for 3 years. After a time, the basket started to detach and I would have to screw it back in. The basket also had seen better days, started to look pretty funky as grease would collect in the side vents even though I cleaned it everytime after use. I started to look for a new one. The Dreo caught my eye for the excellent reviews on Amazon and the 5 year warranty. Nobody does that. I purchased the Dreo and so glad I did. The Dreo is a one piece unit with a drip tray. It is the basket with no vents on the side to collect grease. Everything I have cooked turns out great. Although dishwasher safe, I haven’t had to put it in the dishwasher. Cleanup is a breeze with warm soapy water. It is fairly quiet, has a window to look at the food while cooking. Has a shake and pre heat feature, also has presets and comes with a cookbook. Amazon Customer: I was so excited when I came across this Dreo airfryer. After a lot of searching online to be certain what kind of features I needed and was looking for a fryer that can useful for a bigger family.
