Km: My family member is an astrophysicist and has this book in Spanish, and now in English. He is excited to read this book to his child in English as Dad only reads English and mom only reads Spanish to the kid. He’s an astrophysicist and he approved of the Spanish version so it’s a decent book.

Kateryna: Preso per mia sorella di 3 anni. Si è innamorata di questo libro, disegni semplici che aiutano il bambino a familiarizzare con dei concetti complessi. Se spiegato la prima volta il bambino poi è in grado di riconoscere la struttura di un atomo in un allustrazione. Perfetto se si desidera che un bambino cresca senza la paura di scoprire il mondo e concetti complessi.

Tony: Je suis devenu un vrai fan de ces livres, tout comme mon fils. Bien qu'il soit encore un peu jeune pour en profiter pleinement, ils commencent très simplement et je suis convaincu qu'ils l'aideront à travers les premières étapes de la scolarité.

Chaque livre de la série part du même point conceptuel d'une «balle», quelque chose auquel la plupart des enfants peuvent s'identifier, et dans la plupart des cas, vous pouvez en trouver un autour de la maison pour aider à visualiser davantage le contenu.

La fin du livre peut être un peu complexe même pour les adultes mais cela n'empêche pas mon fils de m'aimer essayer d'expliquer ce qui se passe.

Bien:
- Livres intelligents pour enfants et adultes
- Éducatif tout en s'amusant
- Thème cohérent tout au long de la série

Mauvais:
- Je ne suis même pas sûr de comprendre.
Je recommande pleinement ce livre et les autres de la série à tout parent ou tuteur.

FrKurt Messick: This book is one that is either stand-alone, or one of a set that includes titles such as 'Rocket Science for Babies' and 'General Relativity for Babies'. Obviously, even the most mild treatment of such a topic is going to require either extraordinary talent on the part of the baby, or a book that is little more than a tactile experience for the baby. But here's the deal - this isn't meant just for babies (sorry to ruin the surprise!).

This book is meant for the adults in the baby's life - if the adults begin to learn how to teach in very simple ways some of the most complex and deep of scientific truths and discoveries at a very early age, who knows? We might be producing the next Einstein or Newton. At the very least, we'll be raising a generation who isn't afraid of science and complex ideas, for they will have had them literally from the cradle. And that's what makes this series so great.

This particular book starts with basic concepts useful in astronomy and astrophysics. A ball. A ball is a round sphere. So are planets! So, it is relatable, even to the adults in the room. The Sun is also a ball, but a bigger ball. The Earth goes around it. Other balls/stars are...

butmum: My son has a Ph.D in Astrophysics and his son recently turn one year's old. When I saw this book I could not buy it fast enough. When he opened it for his son at the birthday party, my son couldn't believe it, "Mum where do you find these things?" I have a bit of a reputation for finding the appropriate but distinctive gift! All I can say is that for the first time in my life I understand my son's career!!

Val Casey: Bought four books in this series for my nephew's 1st birthday, and while he's still a bit young to appreciate them they were a hit with the grown-ups! They were discounted quite a bit when I ordered them and when they arrived they were a little worn as if they had been read a few times. I guess the warehouse workers like them too? Lol it wasn't too bad and my nephew's favorite thing to do with books is pull them off the shelf and throw them in the floor so it worked out alright. If they had been full price I probably would have returned them.

Nearly Satisfied Customer: I've been a big fan of the Baby University books since I got Quantum Physics for Babies.

My (nearly) 2 year old loves these books as well.

Of the 5 books I own, I'm inclined to say this one is the most complex in the way the information is given, but it doesn't make it less interesting to my toddler. I find him pointing to the periodic table and I list elements to him and try explaining how elements became heavier and more complex over time.

I really love the explanation about stars recycling atoms and how atoms from old stars still live within us as human beings. It shows ideas about universal scale cycles that have impacted our own cycles and how we're connected to the larger universe.

All in all, I'm pretty pleased. I would give 5 stars of the information was a little simpler, but this are very very big concepts to break down for young children, overall, fantastic job.
