GuySab: Surprisingly good quality for the price! The manufacturer warns that the plastic will expand on first use and tells the consumer that it's normal that the mattress will loose firmness on the first use, so we're asked not to suspect leaks. I bought two mattresses and both worked flawlessly right from the start on the first night. Although the mattresses did expand just a bit, there wasn't even real pressure loss and I didn't even need to re-inflate either of them.

The comfort is surprisingly very good. The mattress as not as thick as my previous mattress (which just had too many leaks), but that doesn't affect comfort at all. In fact, I actually find this mattress a lot more stable, probably because it's not as thick so when you stand up you don't wobble all over the place LOL. We had two wonderful nights sleeping on these mattresses while camping, and I wouldn't hesitate to use them at home either. I don't know yet how well they'll last, but they look very well designed and solidly built, so I'm not worried. I'm glad I bought these.

jessiebee: I purchased this product for a camping trip and I am very pleased. The price was reasonable. The packaged mattress is pretty heavy so it wouldn't be good for a back pack or hiking. I only had a regular air pump that can be plugged into the car power outlet and that worked just fine to blow up the mattress in a few minutes. It was extremely comfortable. I was suprised. We slept very well on it. Soft top layer makes it feel more like a mattress than a "blow up" mattress. It also kept she sheet on well.
After the first use we did have to add a good bit more of air. The mattress stretched but I expected that. The instructions said it would. It was super easy to deflate. Quite a challenge to get back in the box for storage. We found another storage container. I would sleep on this mattress anytime. It is more comfortable than some traditional mattresses I've slept in. It's so nice I would use it at home if we needed extra beds and had company. Pleased!

Julia Campbell: We bought this bed as a temporary mattress between moves and finishing up school. My husband and I have both slept on it every night for almost four months. It's held up PERFECTLY. Great quality, no holes, easy to fill, quite comfortable, easy, and may I stress again that it still holds air after FOUR MONTHS?! I top it off every two or three weeks, but just for ten to twenty seconds (using the Intex Quick Fill Air pump). No sign that we'll need to replace it any time soon. We had another Intex $100 one and it lasted three days without needing to be inflated before bed, once during the night, and again in the morning. Overall, AWESOME buy: cheap, long lasting, comfortable, small when deflated, easy to pump up.

I should add, however, there is one small caveat if you are planning on sleeping on it every day for months at a time. The ridges go parallel to your body, rather than perpendicular. For the first few months, I honestly didn't notice. Now though, I can't stop thinking about it. Is it best to sleep with the middle of my back on the top of a ridge, or should I try to get my shoulders to bridge the gap from ridge to ridge? Why do my feet always have to...

The Youtz: My family was going camping on the beach and wanted something comfortable to spend our time on. We found these queen sized Intex mattresses and though we would give them a go.

We purchased two of these that would take up the majority of the back room of our tent for a family of five to sleep on. We filled the mattresses with an Intex air pump using the car in just a few minutes. The mattresses are very nice especially for the price.

The soft velvet top is nice, but only if you plan on your skin being on the mattress. We had sheets to put over the mattress so the velvet top made no difference to us whatsoever. I am sure most people don't plan to spend time sleeping on this without something between you and the mattress so I don't suggest purchasing this mattress due to this feature alone.

The air inlet and outlet is pretty large so it deflates quickly. We rolled the mattresses toward the air outlet. I am not sure there is a better way to get all the air out.

I am a pretty big guy - 260 pounds at this time. Myself and my fiancé had no problems sleeping on this mattress and it held up well. There is a lot of bounce every time...

JoeSchmoe: Being a poor college student, I've had more experience with low-to-moderately priced air mattresses in the past 5 years than most people have in a lifetime.

Compared to other air mattress brands (including Coleman) that I've used continuously over the years in the "less than $50" category, Intex has proven to be excellent with regards to price and durability (including lifespan) but somewhat less comfortable due to the larger air chambers.

Growing up in the 80's with parents who loved camping (far more than I ever will), I always associated the brand Coleman with quality and durability, and I would have expected Coleman air mattresses to be the best. Times have definitely changed though, and it's shocking that a company with a name like "Intex" could seriously have a better product than Coleman, which has almost become a national trademark and always regarded by my family as the "Cadillac" of camping gear.

Pro's
1) Price: Definitely the cheapest of the air mattresses
2) Lifespan: At least 6 months of "continuous" use by 2 adults, based on the last 3 Intex mattresses I've owned. On the other hand, I've gone through several Coleman...
