ChalmondFashew: We have a pile of toys my cat hasn't touched in ages and another pile she likes to play with regularly. The second pile is pretty small, but this toy is in that pile!
She loves the feathers and gets a kick out of the sound, too (which is on the loud side, might I add). I was a bit turned off by the bird's face at first, lol, but it's not that bad in person.

Court: Purchased this to help burn off some of the excessive energy my younger cat was redirecting as aggression towards my senior boy. The younger cat is obsessed with this toy. He probably spends an hour a day playing with it. The bird has been dunked in the water bowl more times than one could count, stepped on, and had most of its feathers plucked out several weeks later, and is still chirping just as loudly. One suggestion, though - maybe keep this out of your bedroom if you think your cat will play while you're sleeping. It's quite loud, but still preferable to the sound of my older cat being terrorized constantly.

Varley M.: They seem drawn to the color and the squeak. I've only had it a few days and it has already lost feathers from the avid interest. I don't know how long the battery will last but for the price, I would buy them just as often as they can tear it up.

T. Phillips: My 6 month old kitty is very rambunctious and has to have a lot of interacting toys. She has had this a week and so far, it has been a favorite toy. I plan to rub some more catnip on it periodically.

victor zanin: Os gatos gostaram muito, faz barulho toda vez que mexe. Só achei que podia ter um botão de liga e desliga, mas fora isso muito bom

J.M.: We bought this years ago for one of our cats who has since passed. Our current cats liked it, but our 1 year old Australian Shepherd LOVES it. She lovingly carried it around in her mouth for the last year, licking it, taking care of it, until the sound finally died a week ago. I searched everywhere for it. I finally found it here. It arrived yesterday. She now carries the one without sound and her new one around and is the happiest pup in Canada. We just say "where's your bird?" and she goes and gets them.

Bekah: I will start off by saying that this is possibly my cat's favourite toy ever, and he has many toys from which to choose. I would say this is tied with Da Bird Cat Rod for his favourite toy.
Pros:
- The toy squeaks whenever it is moved. The sound triggers his prey drive and makes him really go after the toy. This also means I have to put the toy away at night so I can sleep.
- The battery has lasted a good amount of time despite my kitty playing rather ferociously with it.
- My cat has bitten, scratched, and knocked the daylights out of this thing, and yet it has no holes in it.
- Playing with it for a while really tires him out. I give it to him after dinner so that he is tired when I go to sleep and is less active at night (he loves to knock stuff off of tables).
Cons:
- It is much smaller than I thought it would be. It is the same size as a small toy mouse.
- The small size makes it get lost under things very easily, so I spend a lot of time searching for it.
- The feathers were torn off within the first day or two. I had to be careful that my cat didn't eat any of them (he tried).
- It is rather expensive given its small...

Mirm83: My cat got two toys for Christmas. She's only ever liked one toy before, a purple spider which she just carried around and dropped on our stomachs while we were sleeping. Well, she's liked other things too, like wristwatches and other household items we didn't want under the couch, but not toys. That spider went missing sometime this year, so I went looking on Amazon for something that will engage her.
This morning we opened the first toy, a ball on a string with a feather. She laid around and hit it once or twice, but didn't really care. Then I opened this cardinal and put it on the floor. She sniffed it, it squeaked, and that was it. She has been rolling around with it on the floor, trying her very best to kill it, for nearly two hours now. Every once in awhile, she gets so worked up and primal that she attacks something random nearby, like the case of bottled water. Then she has a moment of clarity and goes back to the bird.
And every once in awhile, she runs up to me, feet sliding in all directions, stops, looks up at me directly in the eyes, and meows. Then runs back to her toy. I'm pretty sure she is saying "thank you". But she may be saying "don't judge me"....
