Skye: This little fishing pole is my cats new bestie!!;) My cats are 6,7 and 2! They all love this toy, it’s probably the most playful my older fur babies have been in a long time… Also the quality is awesome, there are several attachments but we are still using the 1st one in June!

L. RubioL. Rubio: This a nice cat toy set because it has several types of toy attachments to use with poles or wands. I have been buying the feathers kind for a while but noticed my cat was losing interest. I must admit Rocco is a chunky boy. He is definitely rough with toys and he plays daily in our futile attempt to get him to lose weight. We started with the butterflies and that got his attention right away.
Pros: 2 sturdy extendable poles in nice colors. Each toy has a strong clasp that is easy to open making toy switches a breeze. The set comes with butterflies, feathers and worms or snakes, all very colorful and attractive for cats (Rocco’s opinion)
Cons: the ribbons in the butterflies are easy to fray and can get tangled in cat’s paws. The plastic butterfly is glued to a plastic strip so if you pull too hard, it becomes detached.
Overall, I think this is a good value for the price considering everything it comes with. I will buy it again when Rocco gets thru with this one.

b with the good hairb with the good hair: The media could not be loaded. I got another similar toy from PetSmart for our newly-adopted cat and the rod broke. TWICE.
So I did some research and found this and ordered it without high expectations. Let me tell you, these are AWESOME. I'm still relatively new to cat ownership and what's important in toys (and granted, all cats are different), but let me tell you why these are awesome:
- You need a rod that is long and flexible. Like I mentioned, my previous rod broke. TWICE. It was too thick and the rod wasn't flexible, so when my cat grabbed the toy at the end of the string, the tension was too much and the rod snapped (without too much force). These flexible rods allow some give and take, some pull and playing around without being too forceful. Also, it's super-long so I'm not in fear that my cat will accidentally claw my face off
- They have lots of toy options. For whatever reason, my cat LOOOOVES the blue and red one. Maybe it looks like a bird to him the most. I also like that it has a little bell so you know when it's bouncing around. The butterflies don't have bells which is fine, but isn't as fun to dangle
- Multiple rods. I keep one in the room...

Kindle Customer: Both of my cats chased the butterfly lures with more playtime energy than I’ve seen from them for some time, especially the older cat. I knocked off a star from this review for three reasons: the package includes fuzzy worms which go straight into the trash here (neither cat likes them), and I have bags of feather lures from previous wand toys so didn’t need them either. The three butterflies were the treasure in this kit, but unfortunately they are pretty fragile and break apart when caught by the excited kitties. I wish this seller would offer replacement butterfly lures, maybe with a stronger construction. I’m ordering something similar from a different seller, but I don't think those will be as nice.
