Layla Rodgerson: Reading these reviews I was on the fence about purchasing this. I already have a 6 qt Duo and have had it 4-5 years. I use it 2-3 times a week and never had a problem with it. Occasionally it might burn a soup but I usually catch it and it’s because I didn’t put enough liquid in it.

So, today I tried out this pressure cooker after getting it yesterday. It is the same size as my old pressure cooker, and I’ve made this soup many times in the past. It took a couple minutes to figure out that there is start button whereas I used to just select a food option like soups and strews and then it would turn on automatically. I can see how that might be problematic so can see why it might be changed. It took a little longer to warm up maybe a a few minutes than my old cooker. It has a different ring than my d one when it goes into the pressure cycle. I also like that there is a display that tells the stage it’s in.

The pressure cooker finished cooking and made a sound showing it was done cooking. It went into the warming cycle. I released the pressure and the food was cooked perfectly.

Honestly, I have zero complaints. I like the look of this cooker. I do think...

Mark Hastings: I decided to cheap out and bought one of these from the Amazon Warehouse. There are pros and cons to this which I will discuss at the bottom of this review.

This is a great piece of cookware, that is capable of many cooking techniques. I am happy with my purchase and would buy it again. It is relatively easy to program but you have to remember to press the Start button. (Something I forgot to do a few times.)

Saute - seems a little slow to get up to full temperature compared to stove top cooking, but it get there. The indicator is helpful to give you some idea of the current temp.

Pressure - works well. Lid is easy to place. One feature that seems small, but I REALLY love is the little "lid" on the top that you can remove to open a spot to place ice. This feature is wonderful as it allows you to quickly cool the pressure cooker and eliminate the need to do a pressure release and blow steam all over your kitchen. In practice, I have found that a handful if ice will drop the pressure in under 3 minutes.

Air Fry - this is a really nice feature to "finish" roasts. Pretty much a must have feature. It falls a little short in browning french fries, as you have...

Bunny Buddy: This was purchased as an upgrade from the 6qt Duo model. TOTALLY worth it and I've only used a single mode on each lid (Pressure Cook and Air Fry) so far. I didn't use other modes on the 6qt either including the pre-programmed settings. This is pretty much apples to apples comparison. Overall a complete win and would recommend it to others.
Benefits:
1. Handles on the inner pot. This keeps the pot from spinning during saute mode and makes it easier and safer to remove the pot when it's full of food. I can do this even after a wrist injury.
2. Flat bottom on the pot. Makes any added oils spread evenly instead of running to the edge and enables #3 below.
3. Pot is stove-top safe. Even more versatility! I tried this today and the handles did get a bit too warm to touch from the gas heat flowing up the sides of the pot, but it enabled me to quickly control the temperature and still pressure cook the results in the same pot.
4. Air Fryer : I've not had an air fryer before and this definitely works well. The AirFry lid is simple to put on and take off, and doesn't require it's own cord. Results have been excellent for the chicken nuggets, fries and frozen battered fish...

Vitamin BVitamin B: For a long time I was against these gimmicky air fryers, because "why just not use the oven"? And sure you can, it will do pretty much the same thing, BUT...an air fryer is SO MUCH easier to cook with! It heats up in no time (as opposed to a giant oven), and food cooks quicker in it too, likely because of its smaller size compared to an oven. I consider myself an Instant Pot "pro", and already had 2 in my kitchen, the Duo 6qt and 8qt...and finally decided to get this Pro Crisp and replace my existing 8qt Duo with it. Smart decision as this Pro Crisp gives me a new type of kitchen appliance without sacrificing any more counter space!

I like the new pot with handles, much easier to take it out after cooking. It cleans very easily too. Just pour some water in it and clean it right away, or let the water sit and clean it later - don't let the food weld itself into the pot!

It comes with an additional inner pot for air frying, but I never use it...don't see the point. All it does is reduce the internal volume of the main pot and it's one more extra thing to clean. Instead I use a steam basket...or simply throw food right in the main pot. However, if you throw it straight...
