Ellen: I replaced a leaking FRANKE HT200 tank and hot/cold 2 handle system with the InSinkErator HOT250. So far, so good. Working great. Instructions could be improved by a better/larger illustration of the 4 tubes. Also, it's unclear why they would specify a Y-connector be used when installing with a water filter when a union coupling was all that was needed. I installed mine with my existing FRANKE water filter.

Paul T: TLDR: Hooking it up was a pain until I got the F2000s kit, with easy to install quick disconnects.

Overall, I love this under the sink water heater! It allows me to have heated, filtered water instantly! I no longer have to wait for my water to heat up to clean dishes.

Installation was a bit of a pain. The T-fitting was not included and the way my water lines were set up, I had to bend the copper tubing in order to connect it to the hot water (there was no way I could have it reach the cold water line). After a couple of hours trying to get it to fit, I finally got it in, but had a leak...

Once I saw that the filter offered a way to use quick disconnects, I opted for this solution. As soon as I received my f2000s kit, I was able to hook it up to the cold water line no problem! I had to cut the copper pipe that I had bent previously, but once I did that, it fit into the quick disconnects and there were no leaks! My advice: just get the f2000s kit if you intend to do the install yourself. Much easier to hook up the included T-fitting in the kit rather than finding one that works online. Plus, you get filtered hot water!

Amazon Customer: Love this product. Only drawback is they last for 2-3 years and then need replacing. The unit works very well though and it is an important accessory in my kitchen

Gayle H: Works great! This was easy to install but that was because we replaced the old one that started leaking after about 15 years of use. Therefore no plumber was required either! It's nice to have instant hot water for cooking!

Amazon Customer: Installation was straight forward but I wouldn't consider this a DIY install if you are not familiar with plumbing. I would recommend a dedicated shut off and circuit for this unit. I decided a install a dedicated filter to help minimize mineral build up in the unit and hopefully prolong the life. Water is a perfect temp for tea and other hot beverages. My kids and wife love the convenience.

NorthLatitudeNorthLatitude: Very easy and quick to install and produces lot of super hot almost boiling water. Excellent for making tea! You will probably need to make a trip to the hardware store to buy the correct fitting for the water connection though- it’s not included in the box. In spite of this it works so well that I still rate it at 5 stars. The finish and function of the included faucet are also both very, very good. It looks great!
