J. Baker: Arrived quickly (within a couple of days) so I was able to use it during the heatwave. It installed easier than the original, and, ironically, is using the connection pieces that I had to go to the hardware store to use for my original window piece. So glad I didn't have to "invent" that again. It fit into my window perfectly. Now if I could just find the piece that connects the hose to my A/C unit and not have to use duct tape it would be perfect.

Annalise L.: A few years ago, we bought a portable air conditioner. It comes with a window kit, and everything was great. Recently, the bedroom was given some extra insulation, which meant ripping out the exterior walls. The team that came in broke the window kit immediately (among other things). The end result was an air conditioner with no place to send out the hot air. We figured the entire air conditioner would be a dud, and we were pissed off. Best Buy didn't sell replacement window kits and it was already out of its warranty. Before buying a new air conditioner I thought, there has to have been someone else with the same problem. I looked and measured and compared and voila! I found this! June is a hot month, and having no air conditioning in an upstairs bedroom against exterior walls sucks, even with additional insulation. This one fit the Insignia hose perfectly! Saved a lot of sweat and discomfort! I hope no one gets their window kit broken, but if you do, there's an option!

Barbara H: It was easy to adjust and install. Would be better if there was a gasket at the top to ensure a tight fit.
