Get the Inkbird Grill Thermometer and take your cooking to the next level!Tobias Linn: I have owned and frequently used this thermometer for short as well as longer bbq sessions. The good news is: it still works after 2 years, so I feel like the investment was well worth it. The thermometer connects to the app fine for the most part, the readouts seem fairly accurate (within a few degrees from other thermometers). Where it gets frustrating is when the app and the device don’t work together so great. I’d love to be able to suppress the device beeps when connected to Bluetooth, but that’s not an option. However what really has me frustrated is that the app offers a graphing option for the temp curve, which really intrigues my OCD brain and I would love to have grill, exterior and e.g. brisket core temp graphed for an entire session for future reference. However, I have never been able to graph anything beyond a couple of hours, even with my phone (iPhone 8) not moving and clearly within range. It would make the package really great if the app could offer a more stable connection or the datapoints could be stored on the device so that a complete graph is not dependent on Bluetooth connectivity always being up. This makes the app only moderately useful, and...

D G: 11/1: - Again for a $49 model this little probe works awesome and is easy to use. The battery charge lasts at least for 2 separate 12+hr smokes without recharging in between. Also the unit holds its charge for a long time - I have charged the unit and let it sit for 2-3 weeks and the battery was above 95%. The probes have stayed accurate and the wires have held up well. I have used the unit for approximately 20 evolutions over the summer for different meats and lengths for cooking. One note - I would not use the meat probes for thin cuts such as ribs, it is very tough to get the probe set right, and in realty it is easier to just use a probe thermometer and time vs temperature. As with anything take care of the unit and wires and clean the probes properly with just soap and water. Always ensure you run the cables in a manner that they do not sit over direct heat if possible.
Original review with a couple of updates:
I have done a lot of research on digital thermometers including the ability to perform remote monitoring through your phone. I have used a regular meat thermometer for years and was hesitant to try one of these primarily based on cost and wide-ranging...

RLC: I got this and decided to just charge it without reading the instructions. Two of the four temperatures were way off. One was 285 F and another was almost freezing and all in my bathroom. I might have believed the freezing temperature but my bathroom only does that when I am getting out of the shower. Then I noticed that two of the four probes were not plugged in quite as much as the other two. So I pushed and twisted the plugs really hard and finally got them all the way in. Then I looked at the instructions and in big letters and pictures it clearly says NO GAP. They are not kidding. It is harder than it should be to plug in the probes. But now that I know what to look for, it is an easy enough fix. The device itself is rudimentary in terms of function although it works. The magic is in the phone ap which was well designed. Although it does function without the phone, why try? Now for my other complaint. It only works with Bluetooth so you need to look at where your smoker is spatially located in relation to your phone. Once paired, your phone will make your life miserable if you get out of range. Here is the problem. I am not always in parts of my house in relation to where the...
