A serious listener: Tried other shoe hues but none worked this good
Best way to keep it together is to use tape or a clamp or heavy weight to hold it overnight till it dries. Then the boot or shoe is good as new. Used on snake boots steel toe work boots and ballet slippers and sports trainers

MJD4780: If you have ever done any kind of crafting, you have heard or come across the Barge brand at some point, and there is a reason for that. Their products work.

Cosplayers, hobbyists, handy people, leathercrafters...they all use this stuff.

I have been dabbling in amateur leathercrafting for a few years now, and I have really come to appreciate Barge Infinity Cement. I am still using the same can I bought!

It's best to apply to both surfaces of whatever you are gluing together, wait until both surfaces get tacky to the touch, and then stick them together. It will not come off once you let it set (and in those very rare instances where you have to adjust again, you can pull your pieces apart if you do it early enough in the bonding process).

One takeaway I will leave you with, I learned from many of the professionals out there: if you buy a can of Barge Infinity Cement, buy a container of acetone (i.e. nail polish remover) as well. I can verify this first hand, if you pour just a little bit of acetone into your rubber cement container every time you use it, it will make sure that your glue doesn't dry out and leave difficult, gummy or even...

C. Holden: I’ve used Barge cement before and it works great, especially when it comes to regluing soles to sneakers (which is what I use it for). One top comment from 2020 gave it a bad review comparing it to contact cement, so I wanted to add that this does not work like contact cement. Once you’ve added it to the 2 pieces you’re gluing, be sure to heat it up with a heat gun or hair dryer before joining the pieces together. As for the “but” part of my title, while the product works as advertised, having it shipped is somewhat of a risk. Like some have mentioned, my last order of this came with the cement spilling out into the plastic baggie they put the container in (before placing it in the shipping box). Sadly, that left the entire can of cement unusable as I wasn’t able to actually open the can because of the amount of glue everywhere. And, more my problem than anybody else’s, it was mid-pandemic so I didn’t process a return in time to get a refund or replacement. So, keep in mind, there’s a chance it may be damaged during the shipping process but getting a refund/replacement shouldn’t be an issue. I’d definitely recommend for regluing sneakers or...

W. Taylor: Barge is a rubber cement. It's long lasting, water proof, flexible, it's been around for decades and works every time on what it's made for. It's the best product of it's kind. Period.
My Dad was self-employed as an Orthopedic Shoe Repairman and owned his own shop for 20 years and Barge is the only rubber cement he would use. He also did regular shoe repair and on the side he was an excellent saddle maker and saddle repair expert and repaired saddles for the riders in Kentucky which was (and I think still is) a horse riding state, and he only used Barge in his saddle making and saddle repair business and hobby. I say hobby because saddle making was his passion, he loved making high quality riding saddles and it was a "hobby for profit" to him, but he would make them for the love or making them weather they sold or not. Bottom line: If it was made with leather, Barge was used in the making of it.
How it's used makes all the difference. It's a very tacky glue/cement and what you do is follow these simple steps in the use of Barge and it will work for you perfectly ever time:
1.) Clean both sides of the item to be glued and once cleaned use a fine grain...
