Susan F.: My cats will do anything for a Churu treat, even let me clip their razor claws.

L. Burke: I have yet to find a cat that doesn’t like a Churra stick. I try to give one of my cats a stick of their own but the other cat appears demanding their share

DC: My cat is on a restricted wet food diet but I've been feeling a little guilty about the misery she's been going through to lose weight. I can't feed her dry treats so I thought I'd give this a try. At first she didn't know how to eat from the tube but it didn't take long for her to understand how to lick the tube. She absolutely loves it. I give her a treat mid-day so help stave off her hunger. It holds her over until her next meal in the evening.

Xeokym: I don't know what they put in this stuff but my cats come falling over each other for these things. They know the sound of the lid unscrewing and are in the room before I can even tear one open. They're baby food-like consistency and we call them "Chloe-gurts" around here, because they remind me of those kid's yogurt snacks, and because I originally got them for my 22 year old lady, Chloe. She was bored with canned food and the crunchy food was making her a little constipated, and sometimes she would barf up the crunchies because she wasn't chewing them up enough. I saw these and thought, what a perfect amount for her. Man does she perk up for these things. They also might have extended her life because she was starting to get very thin and gaunt, and once I started getting these for her, she put on weight, her fur is healthier looking, and she has noticeably more energy.

Unfortunately keeping them a secret from our other 2 cats was impossible and soon enough they were onto my and Chloe's covert feedings. I would give them to them all the time but the container is 40 bucks and they would go through them like nobody's business, plus they don't need to gain weight. I don't...

pianostar: The mother lode! Jackpot! Bingo!

I have a 12-year-old kitty who has a chronic upper respiratory thing going on. One vet said he had a clogged tear duct (he doesn’t), another vet said he had a chronic herpes viral infection (he doesn’t). His sneezing, congestion, itching, hair pulling, and runny eyes seem worse when he’s stressed (and he’s what they euphemistically call a “hyper-vigilant” kitty, so he’s stressed a lot), when there are seasonal allergens going on, or when I use scented litter or chemical cleaners. My latest vet, who has bad allergies himself, suggested a daily 10 mg Zyrtek tablet, which he takes himself and gives to two of his own dogs daily.

So I set about to medicate my kitty daily and thereby cause him to hate me. I would put a towel in the kitchen sink and then go chasing him around the house. As soon as he saw the towel go into the sink and the kitchen light go on, he commenced to run and hide. These are the things I have tried unsuccessfully: shoving the pill down his throat with my finger; shoving the pill down his throat with a piller that’s about a foot too long; putting the crushed pill in wet food (he wasn’t interested);...
