Amazon Customer: They don't fit. We measure the chair perfectly. The plastic cups that go on the bottom don't fit tight enough ever time I move my lawn chair they fall out

Justin T HancockJustin T Hancock: Caps are a tight fit like many have said, but otherwise appears to be a very good product and reasonably priced. The caps should be tight though so they don’t fall out over time.
Installation tips:
*Measure your furniture feet before you order: there are two different sizes.
*Soak caps it hot water before installation.
*Clear all debris, rust, etc. out of inside of feet.
*Get cap seated evenly as you’ll see in my picture before knocking the rest of the way in.
*Some caps snapped in with a firm tap of a rubber mallet.
*Some were easier to place furniture upright and then use your own body weight to push down on furniture and seat caps fully.
*Some feet on my furniture were crooked and required creativity and a little patience.

John KemmisJohn Kemmis: This is a great repair/replacement for the plastic gliders on our old iron patio chairs. Perfect fit. And the package contained twice what we needed, which is ok with me, as I suspect their longevity is limited to a few years. Easy to install.

Tips. Measure your chair. When measuring, make sure the old glider is completely removed. The inside diameter must match the replacement. On our chairs, the old gliders were missing, and I found a few had part of the old glider remaining inside, which I pried out with a flathead screwdriver.

Use a rubber head hammer to tap the glider into place. Do not use any glue or adhesive when installing. Do not use any oil or lubricant when installing. If you paint the chair before installing, let the paint dry thoroughly, then apply some heat with a hair dryer or heat gun insure the paint is dry. Heat sparingly to avoid destroying the paint.

I gave durability a 4-star rating because I am clueless as to how durable they really are. The durability of similar gliders on my other chairs has been very good. This is surprising as we have a concrete block patio.

Carmen Ruiz: Le quedaron perfectos a mis sillas y se ven de buena calidad

Boomer Reader: I replaced all the caps on an eleven piece 20 year old set after having it stripped and powder-coated (looks brand-new!) About 1/2 of these simply snapped in; the other half required special techniques. On most, I stretched a heavy cloth over the cap and down the leg to hold the cap in alignment, then used a mallet to tap them in place. On a few, I had to cut notches in the compression sleeve due to welding slag left in the cup from original manufacture that wouldn't allow the cap to go in. Just align the cutout notch with the slag, and they usually went right in. (Use the heavy cloth trick to hold them in alignment.) You can't always "pop" these in as you might think. Once done, they stay in place and work really well.

Jwrighter: Product is necessary as we have a concrete patio area. When I first tried to put them on, I wasn't sure they were going to fit. I rushed it and destroyed the first one. You do have to be forceful with them. Clean the bottom of the chair with a rag or wire brush, try to snap it in with your hand, if tight give it a good wack with a rubber mallet - giving close attention to the position of the glider making sure the lip of the glider is on the inner side of the chair. They were a very tight fit. These are a more durable, harder plastic than the originals. So absolutely pleased.

Amazon Customer: These fit perfectly in my older iron outdoor set. They glide nice now as I have outdoor fabric on my deck. Was not hard to tap them in with a rubber mallet.

Rob E: I purchased this product to replace very old and cracked chair and table leg caps. I am so far very pleased with the purchase. They were everything that I hoped they would be. They are durable and are smooth to operate on my pvc deck. They went in to the legs fairly easily and are staying in place.

Cloudstepper: Added 3 Oct 2021: they have just kept popping out. And can't get back in. Exceedingly frustrating.

Added 19 May 2021: Some are very hard to put in and stay. Several have popped out and I can't get them in to stay.

This review is for "32 Pack of 1.5” Patio Furniture Glides/Feet/Caps for Wrought Iron Outdoor Furniture." The product name/title should be included in all reviews since Amazon has the very bad habit of allowing multiple products to be included in a single review. Tricksie of vendors that take advantage of that.

Like many others, I found these difficult to install. One chair foot in particular. I could get it in but it would pop right out. The cap already has two tiny holes, so it might have helped to drill a larger one to let the air (under high pressure from pushing the cap down) escape. But I found another solution. I sprayed it with tacky spray. And that held it in long enough to let the pressurized air escape. It is a tight fit. I had to set them into the foot a bit, making sure it was even all around (no edges still outside), the squeeze and twist them while pushing down, following that up with push down with the palm of my...
