ValerieValerie: I have to say if I could give this product more stars I would. I have been using the magnetic screens in my screen, nor for quite a while. I would have to replace them every two or three months, which was a pain in the rear. I also had to keep a close eye on the screens, because the magnets would eventually fall out, and I was petrified that the dogs would eat one. So I started researching how I could put a dog door in my screen door. I had actually seen this on YouTube and then went to Amazon to purchase it. Whoever invented this was ingenious. I love that there are no loose magnets for your dog to get a hold of. Seems to be very well-made and sturdy, I like that the outside portion of it is aluminum because I have Frenchie’s and my little one tends to want to chew on things, so no worry about her hurting aluminum. I had looked at the ones that just attach directly to the screen. However, I knew that within a small amount of time they would’ve had my screen ripped out of my door. So attaching it to the door grill keeps it completely in place and sturdy. It was easy to install, and I love it. Sarah: We purchased this for our 100lb. chocolate lab over 9 years ago and it's still perfect. It cleans easy and easy to re-install if necessary! I cannot praise this company enough, but I really wish there was more advertising for them. I've seen other products out there that are more expensive and just don't compare in quality. I want to tell everyone looking for a pet screen door, that THIS is your best option, and you won't regret it.

Guests who see it for the first time are always impressed. It's sturdy, it works perfectly, and best of all we can keep the sliding glass door open. Our dog had no issues trying to use it.

*Please note, because we have a taller/bigger lab, we did have to raise the placement of the dog door higher off the bottom frame of the screen door, which then makes it less likely for both of our cats and our dog to use.

To the company (Ideal Pet Products): just want to throw it out there, when I did a search for "pet screen doors", yours didn't pop up right away. I was disappointed to see that, because I truly believe in your product and I think people deserve to see this as a clear option when searching for a dog door. The alternatives are...

Goddess: UPDATE 5-2022….door acts the same as the 1st day installed in 2019. My German shep dog uses it at least 10 times a day (20x round trips). Great sturdiness and durability Stop looking. Buy this!

With all the fake review on Amazon lately (get on that Amazon it’s annoying!!!!) I was just super skeptical of how positive people were talking about this door. If you read just one line of my review...THEY WERE RIGHT- IT’S AWESOME.

I’ve been desperate to find a dog door for the backyard that requires the least amount of “damage” to my house e.g. sawing a hole through wall to install. I also didn’t want something that was ugly to look at or impeded the function of the sliding glass door, like those full length inserts that take away from the clean all glass look to outside and make the sliding door opening smaller... and they were expensive! I read practically every review, researched other like products and even delayed purchase to “think about it”. I explain all this to show I’m basically picky as sin. So much to the point that I ensured I could return before purchasing.

Beth: Very happy with this product. We were reluctant to use it because it was designed for a screen door with a screen guard and our door doesnt have one. It went on super easy and the screw system makes it very secure. We have a 60 lb doodle and a 6 month old doodle pup they use with great ease. Love it!!
