Good stuff: got this to replace a 40 YO fluorescent light that finally died. Light is much brighter, more than bright enough for my shop, and comes on instantly. The light pattern extends out to the sides nicely, adding light everywhere. All the stuff you need to hang it up is included, but I'd recommend better drywall anchors if needed. The on/off chain is too short, only about 4 inches, so I added another six inches of string and an old but large washer for convenience (bottom of light is @ 7 foot height. I'm 5-9); the light switch operates smoothly, though. A good deal for $20.
Cons: (1) the extension cord is only 55 inches long. Probably fine if you're going to daisy-chain the lights, but about a foot short of reaching the outlet over my workbench (light is 18 inches from the wall). Should be a standard 6 foot cord. (2) the top shield appeared to have been bent almost in half prior to installing the bulbs. Obvious carelessness and a quality issue. Doesn't affect operation of the light, but, still...
Took a star off for the two cons, but otherwise a good addition to the shop.

Difficult to give a rating for this item. The issue is NOT with the item..this fixture is fabulous, exceptionally bright, well made, easy to install, etc, etc. The problems are with the packaging. As others have commented, the packaging for shipment of this item is absolutely deplorable. Mine arrived in little more than the consistency of a kleenex box, and the box was torn nearly in two. The fixture was clearly visible, and bent where the tear was (fortunately, I was able to bend it back into shape). I took a photo before handling the box on the hunch it would not illuminate. Fortunately it did, and I decided then to keep it. How it arrived with the parts bag including the hanging chains, hooks, etc, still inside was nothing short of miraculous. I'd like to order several more, but I'm not willing to play Russian roulette..instead, I am going to try to find it locally, no matter what the cost. You must decide if the gamble is worth the spoils for you.

I was contacted by the vendor, who asked if I would submit a photo of the aforementioned damaged carton. Glad to. Upon receipt, they offered a $5 refund...not necessary since I'd...

It does have the ability to be liked together with additional fixtures, but I can attest to the brightness of just one. It more than adequately lights up my space. The LED's are instant on, without the flickering associated with fluorescent bulbs.
Being LED, I expect many years of service out of this fixture. If you've ever had to replace a ballast in a fluorescent fixture, you'll know what I'm talking about. My only small complaint is the short length of the pull chain, particularly of you plan on mounting the light on a ceiling. I put a two-foot length of braided twine on mine to ease finding it in the dark shop. Overall, I'm very pleased with this fixture, especially at this price point.
