NMMo: I bought a set of these for my husband for Xmas and also set for myself. These have been in my hunting gear trunk since 2020 and every time I open that box to get hunting gear it still smells like dirt.
I will say this year I've noticed the smell is less intense but not so much that I'm going to have to run out and grab another.

docgobbler: I buy these about every 4-5 years as they really last. I place the old open container in the bottom of the clothes chest I bring to hunt camp and they all smell good like dirt.
