Steve: I just installed this controller about a month ago and we lost power 2 days ago. During the 3 hours the power was out the controller lost the time of day so after power was restored I had to reprogram month, day, year, and time. At least the watering times was saved.

Kiepe: Kann diesen Artikel in Deutschland nicht verwenden da nur 120VAC. Eine Beschreibung welche Art von Stromanschluss wäre von Vorteil gewesen. Eine Rücksendung kommt nicht in Frage, weil ich die Versandkosten von 49,99 Euro übertrieben finde. Schade das ist das erste Mal, das ich so einen Kauf negativ bewerten muss. Nicht aussreichende Artikelbeschreibung.

Ravinder Gupta: I bought Hunter Sprinkler XC800 XC800 X-Core 8-Station controller Timer last year, it is out of order and water runs in loop, at-least four cycles instead of one cycle. I hope supplier will contact me for replacement or repair?

Flying FoolFlying Fool: From all indications, this is a very well made controller. Installation was pretty much straight forward. No mounting template was included by Hunter so I created one by tracing the backside of the controller. The template greatly simplified pre-drilling the mounting holes and preinstalling the necessary anchors. I also temporarily removed the door to keep it from swinging shut during the installation. Setting the date and programming took a less than 5 minutes thanks to a very intuitive display and controls. I'm pleased.

2021 Update: After two years of use and the controller is still functioning perfectly and, perhaps of more interest, I've learned several tricks about programming.

First: It pays to revisit the Owner's Manual after a season or two of use. When I became frustrated about not being able to manually start a full cycle of all stations without having to first temporarily change one of the program's start time, I found a thing called a "test program." With the dial in the RUN position, press and hold the PRG button. The station number will be displayed and the time will be flashing for two seconds.
