Musicref: Remember this is only good to mount indoors.
It is easy to install (be sure to label the wires before disconnecting the old controller!!!)
It is easy to program and reprogram.

Lynsey Sartain: This worked perfectly for a replacement. My old unit had sparked and burned up part of the control panel! The wiring was super easy, but the actual connections were a bit of a challenge because there was not much room to make the wire connections to the screws. Overall, the total replacement time took maybe twenty minutes - the hardest part was removing the old system! I love the options for additional senors, and that it is a much slimmer design than my old one.

DIY Tips:
1. Take a photo of your pre-existing wire set up.
2. If you cannot figure out a wiring element due to symbols/codes looking different, you can search this device and Hunter has a wiring guide.

Lounge Chair: I inherited a hunter irrigation system when we purchased our house and after a historic storm that left us without power for a week the control unit had to be replaced. I was able to easily replace the old unit with a quick google search. The control unit arrived quickly and was easy to install. The wiring was simple, just took a picture of the old one and wired the new one to match, plugged it in and started watering. I’d definitely recommend the hunter for your home irrigation control.

Amazon Customer: I had a hard time to progamme the unit. It kept coming on a couple of times a day even though I thought I had only progammed for it come on once a day but it kept coming on a couple of times.
I think I finally got it but was frustrating to have to reprogamme it every couple of days till it started to work properly.
Not sure I would buy it again.

Tired of being ripped off: Installation is easy and this controller is well designed and built. My only complaint is they should have a BIG sticker on the unit reminding installers to REMOVE PLASTIC STRIP FROM Li Ion BATTERY compartment to activate the battery as a backup power source. Fortunately the Li Ion battery is only needed for the date and time. The programming of run days and run times is not affected by a power outage if you forget to remove that tiny strip of plastic. This is one of the most user friendly sprinkler controllers on the market.

Franktone: This product works well. It is best if you set it to 24h mode because some of the readouts on the screen for am and pm are way too small to read. Otherwise this is a really great product and great value for the money.
