Rabuf: I'm happy with the quality and installation process. The materials of the box and cover are exceptional. I used short pieces of the electrical wire to align the cover and gasket as I installed the cover. This kept the holes in the cover aligned with the gasket and I had no problem screwing down the cover plate. i.e. the screws did not catch the gasket as another reviewer experienced.

JenniferJennifer: I got three of these for the add-a-room for our trailer as the walls don’t allow for wires to be run in them for traditional outlets. These were the best option and were easy to install.

Mike B: This product was exactly what we needed! We've been running an extension cord under the rug for two years. I know, I know, that's dangerous, but we had no choice......until now! Now that bump in the carpet is gone and no more fire hazard!!! This is NOT a simple DIY project and you'll need skills and tools that most don't have. If you don't have these tools and skills, you'll need to hire a professional to install it for you. It looks good and solved a huge problem for us!

Sacto: I wanted a floor plug that had a low profile so that if my furniture configuration changes, it will not be noticeable under a rug. I purchased 2 of these kits--nothing else. The hard part was getting the holes cut in the solid hardwood floor. I strongly suggest using a jigsaw. My electrician said these were the easiest electric floor outlets he had ever installed.

CoachlumpCoachlump: I had someone help install because I’m no comfortable dealing with electricity. The box feels sturdy and well made and came with everything you needed to install it. I also think it compliments the wood floor; even though It will be covered up by our couch. Instruction were easy to follow. The only two draw back I have are.
1. The hinge is difficult to get open for the first time. I had to read the comments from others so that I didn’t feel like I was going to break it.
2. I would prefer it didn’t come with the actual electrical plug because that was a waste for me. As you can see by the picture I swapped it out for my own Leviton smart plug. I’m not going to take away because of this because most folks want turn key.

Ginter SchatzGinter Schatz: Used for floorbox outlet under kitchen table. Also to plug in grommet type use-ac outlet at table for absolute convenience. Use the template to cut out the hole for the box. Easily adjusts to proper floor height.
When unlatching the cover, use a small screwdriver to pry the cover plate open. Do not force. Also make sure you have enough clearances under floor and away from any joists also. Mine is installed through ceramic tiled floor. But with proper tools it’s easy peasy. Purchased the grommet usb- outlet from Amazon also. Great products. Very pleased with both items.

Sean Miller: Overall this is a very well built floor plug. I did not find it difficult to install and there is plenty of room inside of the very large metal box for electrical.

I did find that the door over the plugs is quite difficult to open but I have removed since the items I am plugging into the floor plug are too tall to shut the door anyway.

There is a foam gasket that you put under the edge of the plate to seal if the hole from spilled water etc. The holes in the foam gasket are so small that when installing one of the screws grabbed it and immediately twisted it around the screw. Basically just threw that part out. If the manufacturer wanted to make the product better all they would have to do is increase the diameter of this hole so that there was less chance that the screws would catch.

Overall very happy.
