markmark: I was not expecting to be this impressed by a glow stick. I bought these glow sticks primarily for storm preparedness (electricity outages) as a backup to candles. As soon as the glow sticks arrived I couldn't help but crack one open and see how long it would last. I lit it up right at noon yesterday. Immediately I was pleased with the brightness of it. I took it into my utility room (the only room with no natural light) and turned off the lights. Now this is a small room 6'x10' and had no problems being able to navigate and read labels and what not. I then hung it in the bedroom while I went on with my day. 10:00pm rolls around and it was noticeably dimmer but not by all that much. I woke up at 5 am and it's dimmer but still going well enough for me to see the outline of objects with in 5 or 6 feet of it. 2 pm rolls around and it's still glowing. Surprised by this I grab it and head into a room with no light and was able to read the back of a shampoo bottle by holding it about 6 inches away. Well it's now 10:30 pm a whole 34 and a half hour since lighting it up and it's in my kids room still glowing, not much but enough that I was able to use it as a bargaining chip for my kid to...
