High Efficiency filtration however these are not HEPA ( High Efficiency Particulate Arrestance) filters. They are not designed for Mold remediation, Asbestos, lead or silica abatement, ash, or fire/smoke or water damage clean up. Those do require true HEPA filters/bags in properly sealed HEPA vacuums otherwise contaminants can spread into the air. Since most of these particles are lighter than air, they will remain suspended (for long periods) and enter breathing pathways and cause chronic or acute health conditions. They may even be IDLH (Immediately Dangerous to Life and Health) particles such as silica dust, PAH (soot, ash, smoke from fire damage), ACM (Asbestos Containing Material), etc...
These are good for wet pick up also, they clean easy with water and light brush. If you do not clean after wet pick up and leave in vac sealed, it will form mold and smell. Now you have to disinfect the vac tank and discard the filter or even the vac because you do not want to spread mold spores that may have entered the vac motor. You can wash them and brush them and dry them...
