JanJan: We are a family with 8 large dogs that have indoor/outdoor access 24/7 so vacuuming daily is necessary, in fact some days twice per day. We went thru Shark in just a couple of moths but continued to baby for longer, husband finally gave up and got this machine. It's unbelievable how much pick up this has. It took us a week of vacuuming to get the dust out of the carpets. This is a must you can keep your Dyson (tried it too) and Shark. It's Hoover for his dog family!!!

Fluffed up the carpet so nice, like it was new, and it's been here for many years.
The only thing is the cord is very skinny and it will fray if you happen to un over it, and you have to put electrician tape on it.
For the money it's great. We love it.

Ryan A.: I think generally any household or office definitely needs a vacuum that operates well and can serve a couple different purposes. I need a back up for one of my small offices that I clean but I did not want to pay the prices of Oreck, Sanitaire or otherwise.

I happen to stumble across this Hoover. It did not disappoint. The removable accessory’s work well with the hose attachment. It’s lightweight but works like a tank. By that I mean, it literally picks up DAAAAMN near everything in its path. Hoover designers did well with this one. Over the last 20 years, I’ve owns several different brands and several different models of vacuums. You definitely get your moneys worth with this one so much in fact that I have ordered 3 more. The best part is, Hoover has a phenomenal warranty department that if anything goes wrong they definitely want to take care of their customers.

Which gives you some peace of mind, if anything were to go wrong.

Leigh Smeraldo: I had issues from day 1. There is no option to vacuum without the beater brush, making it difficult...no impossible....to vacuum small area rugs. The suction is too powerful and with the beater brush on, it sucks up and chews up small area rugs, all of rugs now have jagged edges where the vacuum has sucked it into the beater bars. Not a performance issue, but if when you vacuum, you rub against your baseboards, you will end up with black marks on your baseboards, also the vacuum is extremely loud, I'm sure my neighbors knew every time I used it. The end of the hose that is suppose to stay connected to the vacuum, falls off and now a plate on the bottom of the vacuum has broken off. I duct taped it back on, but it comes loose on a regular basis and when it is loose the power button doesn't work. it fell off again today and it took me 5 minutes to tape it back on in the right position so I could turn it on and finish my cleaning. that was the last straw, it is going in the garbage, money well wasted.

Kendra : The media could not be loaded.  Literally the worst sweeper ever. They had to send us a new one due to the hose coming out and bottom ripping out. Here we are 3 months later with the same issue! I have pets a 4 year old and 6 month old so we need a sweeper that WORKS….. so if I can save anyone money just do NOT BUY!!!!!!!

K.Schroeder: * * * Avoid this one * * * Wish I had started using this right away, but I didn't and by the time I got around to putting it to use, it was too late and well beyond the Return window! First I have to say, I'm no fool and am very mechanical. So when I say this thing has issues, believe it! (sorry, I read reviews and always wonder about the person who's writing it!)

The design on the belt/roller is junk. The whole drive system is under-engineered and because of this, it burns thru belts or jumps the belt constantly! I've already purchased 4 new belts and have only used it a hand full of times. The drive gear (or bar) is too small and possibly a little out of alignment (causing it to jump the belt) and the roller doesn't rotate smooth enough + the belt is way too tight/small... Add all that up = It burns thru belts in no time at all. Not sure why it jumps the belt, but burning thru them is simple = Rotating assembly! It's a cheap vacuum, so you get what you get I guess! But this is unusable. Even when you run it on the highest setting (ie: Tall carpet) and your not on actual "tall carpet", it still burns through the belt. I've never had a Vac with...

Oddanne: Just unpacked vacuum and tested it out on my condo. I ran into a couple of things that presented some issues for my likability of this vacuum: 1. Instructions are slim with little explanation of the tool usages. 2. Weight is a little heavier than I would prefer. 3. Attachments and tube have issues staying in place especially when the vacuum needs to click upright again (make sure clicks otherwise it falls down). 4. Gauge for floor/carpet types not as convenient as I would prefer for a largely hardwood floor condo with area carpets…lots of flipping from one to another. On the plus side, the vacuum swivel does help to get into cracks and crevices without a lot of fuss (though it took me some time getting use to it). The suction is beyond fabulous. I had vacuumed with old one before and still managed to pull up loads of fur, crap, etc. The pet hair tool does not pull or tear at furniture fabric while gathering up all the cat fur. The red brush thing does great vacuuming areas like crevices on my fireplace mantle. With the light at the front of the vacuum head, I’m able to see all of the stuff under furniture. Finally it does not leave dust or odours in the air...
