Hoover Hush Tone CH32008 Canister Vacuum – Quiet Cleaning for Commercial Spaces

C. Hinshaw: I clean houses for a living, and have since 2003. I have owned 2 Big Vacs, and a Nilfisk vac , all from The Clean Team. This Hoover Vacuum has out performed all 3 of the vacs from Clean team. It is light weight and rolls very easily. It has the best suction of any vacuum I have ever used...so much so, that at times I have had to open the suction release so I could push it. The cord is very long, which means I don't have to change outlets nearly as much. I currently clean 11 houses with this vacuum, and am very satisfied. It does a great job on hard floors. REKREK: I honestly do not know how I lived without this thing. I'm obsessed with cleaning and own 11 vacuum cleaners and this is my goto canister vacuum. I originally purchased to replace a canister vac for a beach house rental which I clean myself (because no one else does a good enough job... yes, I am one of "those" people. ) After using in the beach house I took it home and use it exclusively since my house is 100% hardwood and tile. I love being able to adjust the airflow control so I can clean blinds without sucking them into the machine and denting the aluminum. And the bagged just works so much better and lasts a longer than you would think. Also works great for detailing cars. I did purchase a better floor brush and added some of my favorite attachments. The cord can be unwieldy because its so long, but I have a system for wrapping it around the machine to keep it tangle free for the next use.

Someguywashere: With no powerhead, this does not do well on carpet tiles, the wand has no place to rest, the place provided is too weak to hold it, the power cord has no loop for holding it in storage as well. We have two Hoover vacuums in our facility, this is the poorest Hoover product I’ve ever seen.

Amazon Customer: GREAT VACUUM, BUT UNFORTUNATELY THE POWER CORD DESIGN IS AWFUL! IT COMES LOOSE AND YOU ARE CONSTANTLY HAVING TO PUSH IT BACK IN. ON TOP OF THAT I BOUGHT THIS VACUUM BACK IN AUGUST 2017 AND JUST RECENTLY WHEN UNPLUGGING THE POWERCORD FROM THE OUTLET THE 3RD PRONG BROKE OFF. REALLY? CALLED HOOVER FOR THE REPLACEMENT POWERCORD AND OH, WAIT...THEY DON'T STOCK IT. LOOKED ON LINE ...OH WAIT UNAVAILABLE AND THEY DISCONTINUED IT! I WAS TOLD BY A HOOVER REPRESENATIVE THAT I WOULD ACTUALLY HAVE TO TAKE IT TO A SERVICE CENTER W/MY RECEIPT JUST TO SEE IF IT'S STILL UNDER WARRANTY, WHICH IT IS..BUT IF THEY DISCONTINUED IT HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO REPLACE IT! WHAT A PAIN IN THE BUTT! OH...AND ON AMAZON GUESS IT'S TOO LATE TO SEND BACK, BECAUSE I DON'T SEE AN OPTION FOR IT. GIVE ME A BREAK. THIS VACUUM WAS NOT CHEAP! Amazon Customer: I have purchased 6 Hushtone Vacuums for our cleaning business over the past few years the last in January 2020. All vacuums seemed to have a problem with the cords though today I discovered something that made me realize there is faulty design to this model. All 6 vacuums kept shutting off on their own, we thought it was the cords, but after discovering the 3rd top prong going into the vacuum on ALL 6 vacuums is black and chard and the plastic around the prong is melted. Hoover needs to look at this problem before someone has a bigger problem than a faulty vacuum as there has to be a power surge which blows circuits when we are cleaning. I keep the vacuums filter and interiors very clean and the bags never reach 1/2 full. They know they have a problem and need to make it right with their customers!

Only complaint is the crevice tool and brush holder is on the wand and they get knocked off so, I just keep them on the cart instead.
Everything else so far, has been perfect.

C. Do: Just received this vacuum, so these notes are preliminary

1. Lots of suction - got crap out of 1/2" deep gap in flooring no other vacuum has been able to
2. Quiet - I haven't tried all the bagless vacuums, but this is hands down the quietest vacuum I've ever used... It lives up the HUSH moniker
3. Per other reviews, totally agree regarding the terrible mounting system for the head system and accessories - forget being able to use them
4. Contrary to other reviews, I think the plastic used for the hose should last years
5. Diameter of the metal tubing is 1 & 1/4" (1.25")
6. The handle at the end of the hose to join with the metal tubing is different than pictured and is a little wonky
7. The "plastic dots" through the metal tubes are simply to lock the plastic collars in the tubes
8. Being a "design" junkie: the "green" button to reduce the suction level is "black" on the unit I received - this is what I am MOST UNHAPPY about - I am going to write Hoover to get them to send me green replacement if possible.
9. There is no "beater bar" so it works well on hardwood floors and "flat weave" rugs / commercial carpeting, but imagine...
