j. w. slot: We had an old dog who must have left a scent in one of our rooms, so we have to be vigilant with our younger dogs. I made a concoction of other cleaning products to remove any odor and take out spots, but bought this at the suggestion of a hardware store employee. I do spray water on a tough stain (like coffee or wine) first, but I spray this on and blot and rub it up and that's it. And it smells very fresh. We are very pleased with the results and continue to buy it.

Vanessa: This has worked really well for pet stains. I have a small dog so sometimes accidents happen. It takes out the smell and I was surprised when he got sick how great this helped cleaning up vomit on my white carpet. Make sure you test a small spot before doing a larger area. It did make my carpet a little lighter on one spot. Over all really good product.

J. Larsen: Bought this to use on our carpets in a new (14 years old) house before using a Hoover carpet washer on them.
I don't see much difference between using this first or just using the carpet washer with the regular carpet detergent.
Maybe it works better on fresh stains...?
My advice would be to mix up a bit of the regular carpet detergent to a strong solution in a spray bottle and pre-treating with that instead.
