GNK Technologies: Bought for doing yard work in areas with low hanging tree branches where I've been tagged more than once. It's already saved my head three times. The adjustment works great even with gloves on. Much to my surprise in the heat it allowes a lot of airflow to keep your head cool. That's an added benefit I wasn't expecting.

TomA: I use this for "remote pruning" trees and large bushes. It has been good at keeping the ones that land on my head from hurting me (OK, they have been the smaller ones) and fits comfortably. Good ventilation keeps the sweat down as well as any, or better. I chose this one because the rim seemed like it would deflect things better than the baseball cap style. That has proven to be correct for me.

Good Vibes: I've been using Fibre-Metal welding hoods since day 1, so figured I'd give the brimmed hard hat a try. Shipping and all that was fine and the brain bucket had a 3/21 production date which is pretty good. Suspension and adjustable head gear is excellent to be expected from their products. It also sits low enough to not look entirely goofy. Now for the bad: The shell itself is mediocre at best. The material is so thin on the brim that it is very flexible. As a result, the brim was warped all over when it came in. I managed to bend it all somewhat straight, though a proper hard had should not flex that much. The lightweight shell feature sounds cool, but they definitely thinned it out too much in the wrong areas. The material is also so thin that sunlight penetrates it. You can see the differences in thickness as the thinner areas look brighter in direct sunlight. I'll wear it till it gets beat up. Will look at other options when time to replace.

Daniel: So far so good. The hat itself and the ratchet mechanism feel very high quality. Much better than hardhats I've had in the past provided by companies. And for $35, it's a steal compared to anything at Mark's Work Warehouse or similar stores. $75 for a hardhat? No thanks.
