JPinCA: I recently got disgusted with our digital Easy Home thermometer being so inaccurate I purchased four new thermometers including this one, the two IProven and non-contact Homedics Stay Healthy proved to be the most accurate, Bonaire was the least accurate of the 4. We have a non-contact one from Costco which is inaccurate so this on being so accurate surprised me, it's worth the money since it's fast, uses common aaa batteries, non-contact & accurate. The base line that I used for accuracy was from a 25 year old B&D digital thermometer which has proven to be 100% accurate but now unavailable, they now only make high end hospital thermometers & equipment. Sad so many digital thermometers on the market are inaccurate and get decent reviews.
