Nancy S.: The finish on the wood base pieces was flawless & everything was well packed for shipping. The black vinyl seat was nicely finished & has plenty of padding. The hardware packet included extra pieces, if needed. Fit is perfect & tight when fully assembled. Several reviews complained about having to "re-drill holes". This is not necessary if you don't fully tighten all the screws until you fit everything together. The cross pieces have dowels that fit into small holes on each leg & a screw pulls the pieces together. (Smart design to keep the cross pieces from turning.) It was easy to align the dowel with the hole on each leg, then start the screws to attach the legs to the cross pieces. Tighten them a little at a time until fully assembled.

Teacherman: A plane-Jane bench/storage, came assembled, and built sturdy/cleanly, there is NOTHING LIKE IT in all of amazon's furniture collection. If your over 200lbs, you may find the seat feeling like 'old diners' restaurant seating, the padding is decent otherwise, Wish wood were stained over thin black paint over white primer. Wood thickness will allow firm mounting tiny shelves and/or hooks, overall size is just large/small enough to accommodate a 2 pairs of large/ 10" tall boots. The backside is simply a wood veneer wall that can easily be removed to permit dual sided access/ventilation. For those of us living in small west village railroad apartments, this is your boots/kettlebell storage, barbell workout, all-in-one bench. The old tipsy folding creaky-Valet is off to the thrift store. welcome home Bedford.

LewisAK: My family member wanted a bathroom bench for our master bath and she is very picky, I started looking and wanted something to match our black espresso cabinets in our bathroom. I found this, showed it to her before ordering it, and she loves it. It's really well made, very pretty, matches our cabinets prefect, and it's just what she wanted. I would highly recommend this for any one looking for a vanity bench that's well made and worth the money. Assembly was very easy and took maybe 20 minutes, she built it herself no problem and went slow and careful to make sure she did not scratch anything and followed the instructions. Again, well made and worth the money
