GailGail: Love this product! I definitely recommend it for an inexpensive easy update to a bathroom. My sister bought a house and the tub had some stains that would not come out, I sprayed it white and it looks brand new. Her countertops were this dated tan faux marble that I sprayed and they look so clean and bright. A few things to take note of: make sure to shake it up even longer than the bottle recommends, wear a mask(it’s very strong even in a ventilated room), and tape off and put plastic around the area blocking anything you don’t want painted(this spray paint kind of extends past what a normal spray paint extends to). If you don’t shake it up enough, it leaves a rough area. The coloring is fine, but to the touch and looking closely at it, you can tell. I will definitely be using this in the future for any upcoming projects.

Nicole B: We had a 1970s era baby blue standing shower. Needless to say, we wanted to update it but didn't want to spend the money on a new shower. This product was wonderful. We had to spend a great deal of time prepping the shower. It is not going to be an over night fix. We fixed small cracks and gouges.and probably cleaned it about 10 times. We wanted to make sure the 30 years worth of wear was gone. Make sure it is very clean and that the you use the steel wool vided. We had to use two kits to cover the blue because it was so dark and the old color was still coming though a little after two coats but it looks great now. It looks like a brand new shower and we saved ourselves all the work of tearing out the old and buying a new, which always has hidden costs that you never know about until it is torn out. We finished it about 5 months ago and it still looks great!! I highly recommend this product if you are going to take the time to make sure that it is very clean and that the temperature and humidity are under control.

The only reason it did not get 5 stars is because the aerosol was very messy. We did not cover the whole room just the surrounding areas, like the directions say,...

John K.: I did extensive research on the various products available for refinishing sinks & tubs.

1. Products applied by professionals in your home. The results are perfect and you'll get some kind of warranty but you'll pay hundreds of dollars.

2. Professional products for the experienced do-it-yourselfers. These are spray-on products costing a couple hundred bucks but you need your own air compressor and a HPLV (high pressure low volume) spray gun. The kits are in the $100-$200 range but they contain top shelf two-part epoxy in any color and all the extra cleaner, primers, etc. Experience with spraying is essential.

3. Low cost all-in-one products for the home-owner. These are self-leveling products that typically cost less than $50. Clean & prep... then spray or brush and you're done. The Homax Tough-as-Tile One-part Spray-on Epoxy falls into this category.

For me I had some criteria I needed to meet:

1. Inexpensive
2. Reversible
