Sheryl TuterSheryl Tuter: For the money it is great. Very easy for a kid to control and comes with extra blades and batteries. The kids love it.

mama: I bought 2 of these drones. The red one for my son's 10th birthday and the golden one my 12 year old got with his own money. My 10 year old practiced flying inside for the day. The next day both boys went outside and for some reason my 10 year old's drone lost controll and started flying higher and into the next neighborhood. We went looking for it right away but couldn't find it. He was so upset, as was I because he didn't get a chance to enjoy it. My 12 year olds drone is perfect. He has been playing with it everyday. So I'm thinking the one that flew away probably had a problem with its electronics. I do recommend this drone. I think there is a rare occasion where the drones might have a glitch. But the one my 12 year old has is really nice. It flies really easy and can do tricks. Another great thing is it comes with 3 batteries. So you get about 24 minutes of flying. And it doesn't seem to take too long to charge.

Sean Moore: This drone is really great for kids who want to learn how to fly a drone. It is very easy to learn and handles quite well. It comes with three batteries and 2 chargers that keep the flying enjoyment going continuously. The battery life is actually pretty substantial. I would actually buy a whole swarm of these if I had people to buy for. It would make a great gift for a child. My daughter is 9 years old and she has no problem flying this drone around everywhere in the house. I haven't taken it outside, but I imagine, as long as it isn't a windy day, it should fly just as easily. Separately, and equally as important, is the vendor. My daughter had an issue with the first mini drone and the vendor contacted me to send me a new one. No more issues. This is probably the best and most easily controlled mini drone I have ever flown. Normally, I fly the expensive DJI drones, and while this little drone doesn't have GPS, it has a few basic features that make it a nice little unit for young pilots.

wiretap: I've been flying racing quadcopters for several years now, and my 3 year old aways asks to fly mine.. since mine cost a lot of money, I told him I'd buy him one of his own. I chose this HT02 micro size quadcopter so he could practice in our living room.

For how inexpensive this product is, it performs quite well for someone who has never flown before. It has buttons to take off and land by itself, and more importantly it has altitude hold and flies in a stabilized flight mode. All these functions work as advertised. My wife even likes flying this around. The HT02 isn't fast at all, so you have time to anticipate where the quad is going and move the flight control sticks the right direction to prevent hitting something. Oh, and the 3D flip button does work great -- I tried it several times and it flipped perfectly.

The included prop guards are easy to install and work well. You can bounce this off walls and ceilings and the props don't get chipped/broke. It came with a set of spare props, a screw driver, 3 extra batteries, and 2 chargers. You'll want to have a few batteries charged up and ready, because flight times aren't all that long. The short flight times are...

Wasicun: This tiny thing is fun to fly! It's a pure flying machine that makes you concentrate on control. I have a commercial drone pilot license and some very expensive prosumer level flying equipment that automates nearly everything. I got this little guy to brush-up and practice my flying skills. There is always the possibility of the automation on the expensive birds failing- I want to be well practiced with manual flying when that happens. The controls on the HT02 are the same as the big guys. For that reason it is an effective and inexpensive first drone too. You will find it challenging to control at first, but when you do get the hang of it you can invest in an expensive drone with confidence. I wouldn't fly it outside except when there is no wind, but it is suitable for in the house, office or motel room (away from fragile knick-knacks). The included three batteries will allow for a good session between charges. FUN and inexpensive!!
