KgArt: I’m putting the hands on the clock mechanism. I have an hour hand, a second hand a tiny brass nut and the small second hand top.
I put them on in this order
Hour hand
Minute hand
Tiny brass nut
Second hand top
The minute hand is wiggly, and isn’t firm
I tried this way too and still the minute hand doesn’t stay stiff

ArtArt: We have an old wooden clock that we purchased from a yard sale. The clock mechanism with battery was not working, so we ordered a new on. It took a couple of minutes to remove the old parts, and install the new ones. We put a battery in it, and now it works perfectly. It looks great, and keeps time perfectly.
