Peaches: I can't really call this a recipe, because it is TOO easy!!! But here goes >>>
I use 1 and 1/2 bags of milk chocolate chips, melting them carefully in the microwave (avoiding scorching), then add an 8 ounce bag of chopped pecans. Spread them out on a foil layered cookie sheet, put them in the refrigerator at least 1/2 hour to let them set. Then break them into pieces and put the pieces into Ziploc bags to keep them fresh, eating them a little at a time at room temperature.
It costs about $5.00 A POUND, instead of the $12 a pound for the chocolate pecans with hardly any pecans!! And I liked the taste of the Hershey's milk chocolate much more than the prepared Chocolate Pecans that I purchased!!! These could be GREAT as a treat at a potluck >>> just get some tiny petit four cups, spoon in the chocolate pecans, and become VERY, VERY POPULAR!! (The petit four cups are just to make transporting and sharing easier, and less messy on the fingers :-) )
The prepared chocolate covered pecans were: "Milk Chocolate Gourmet Pecans 1 Lb (453g)" by SweetGourmet, and they were just "okay." I was NOT impressed by them, since they are a food item,...

Dw: as a mom thats getting married, time is something I dont have. I needed to make my wedding favors but couldnt go to the store to grab everything so I bought these online. I was concerned with them melting but these came in a box that had ice packs in the bottom and not a single chip had melted.

Hersheys tastes great as well so the product itself is spot on.

However, and its not the products fault, just something I learned from what I needed these for:
They do not make the greatest dipping chocolate unless you are going to eat what you make right away. I melted and dipped pretzels in this chocolate and they came out delicious and great. however, at room temperature this chocolate is really soft. I should have used a high temperature chocolate so that I am not worried about my favors melting all over the place. they are in my fridge now and on the day I may have to get a cooler.
But the ones I sampled tasted magnificent !

Ariel Fisher: I LOVE these chips - they are SIMPLY the BEST! Better even than HERSHEY KISSES because you don't have to unwrap them, and they taste infinitely better than the semisweet ones. Here's what you REALLY want to know:
In the past, I used to order these from AMAZON and there were always 12 bags in a box. Now, for some reason, they have decided to split each full box from HERSHEYS in half and sell them in a repacked bunch of 6 bags, rather than 12. So although the description says, or at least used to say, 12 bags or 138 ounces, and some of the earlier reviews say they got 12 bags, I ordered in January of 2011 and discovered sadly that although at the time the description said 12 bags and the title said 6 bags, you really do now only get 6 bags per order or a total of 69 ounces, NOT 138 ounces. Unless they change it again - who knows - i hope they do. I'd rather get 48 bags per order - 12 barely gets me through lunch:). Thanks anyway AMAZON for all the great work you do and for your stellar, as always, customer service.
