Doug Y.: Ordered from them before and it was great. Ordered last time and not good. Received a note from Beulah’s in Ephrata Pennsylvania if wanted to mail them back but no return freight. So I did to prove a point and paid the freight. Next thing I know my money was refunded for the purchase only. I asked them to call me and Jeff did. Didn’t really want to admit they had a problem with the freshness of the product. Said he tasted them and they were
fine. The reason I sent them (5 lbs) back was to prove the point they were not fresh and even if they were free I would not eat them. Am not happy with how the customer service handled it. I was told I’d be better off to order from another supplier. So now I have an awful taste in my mouth for Beulah’s candy because of customer service Jeff’s answer to their problem.

Richard Ryer: These are exactly the same as I remember. They used to come in a box. Yes, they were "dry" and fairly "firm" back in the day. The flavor was very subtle and "kinda" sweet. I had last seen them in Reno, Nevada, back in the early, early 90's. Quite a find back then. Now I find them on Amazon and they are exactly the same as the ones I had back 25 to 50 years ago. They are special. Apparently not for everyone's taste. Try the box size portion to see if they are your thing. I get them 5 pounds at a time. This is halcyon candy from an age gone by. So glad I can go back and visit now.

TrafTrue: I used to get a box of these every time we went to the movies when I was a child, and they are exactly the way I remember them. These were always fairly hard and tiny, and we used to put like 10 of them in our mouths and spend a lot of time softening them up and eventually chewing them and getting them stuck to our teeth! Those 10 lasted a long time, and then we would "rinse and repeat" ^^ I have heard some say they have a scent like perfume...and it is true....it comes from the violet flavored ones. If you are expecting soft gummy candy, this is not it....but if you loved Jujubes as a child....these are the real deal!
