Brooke K.: I was nervous to buy this shelf because some of the reviews claimed it was missing a part. It wasn’t missing any pieces. You don’t need the couplers. If you use the braces and beams to connect the second posts, it works perfectly. It’s VERY sturdy and stable. I had no trouble putting it together. The only tool I would suggest to help you out would be a rubber mallet (we used a hammer with a piece of cardboard as a cushion so we weren’t hammering the metal, but a rubber mallet would have been ideal). Overall, love this shelf and highly recommend it. It looks great, it’s sturdy, and it was simple to assemble.

Areej: This came in a box that was very damaged. 1 of the pieces were crooked somewhere during delivery process and I decided to use that piece as last piece. and it caused the last shelf to not go on properly bcz of it’s altered shape, it doesn’t click in n lock with the other brace. However bcz it didn’t cause a significant inconvenience, I figured it’d be easier to keep it instead of going through the trouble of packing and returning.
Other than that, it’s very easy to assemble, and looks quite nice when set up. The wood pieces are very thin & may wear out soon, but at that point I can replace them myself.

Ryan Grant: I had bought six of these shelves for my shop last year. Really sturdy, well put together, no problems at all. I bought four more for my garage earlier this month, and none of them came with the hardware that I needed to attach the top and bottom together--O for 4. A call to the company to ask for the parts was never returned, and while I was able to jury-rig something together to make them work, I shouldn't have had to, and while they're really pretty damn good shelves for the money I will go out of my way never to buy from this brand again, because they really goofed.

Name: I experienced everything that the other negative reviews state and show.
I would say that the damage to the "wood" is not because the packaging is insignificant. Its because the "wood" shelving is junk, too thin.
"Heavy Duty" 4000 lbs weight rating "so long as the weight is distributed" - yeah I don't believe it. You can twist the support beams by hand. And that is part of the problem the support beam flex to much.

There is nothing heavy duty about this product. This is junk, not worth the money. It was damaged on opening, the four corner uprights are not a Qty. of 4 rather Qty. of 8.
The idea is that you stack one on top of the other - using a shelf support beam to keep them stable and connected. The beam having two button like connectors and by placing the bottom connector into the very top slot of the bottom upright and the upper connector of the beam into the very bottom slot of the upper upright joins the two uprights together. However this is very unstable, and connecting the rack together took two very able grow men more than a hour to put together. You can't move it as the connectors don't really stay connected. anthony peruzzo: Contrary to what a lot of reviewers say, you really don't need two people to put this together. I bought one of these and plan on buying more. It couldn't be easier to put this together. All you need is a rubber mallet or I used a hammer and an old towel to seat the cleats into their groves. Just assemble one level at a time and read the instructions. The whole thing is pretty sturdy, but it will sway little, I have mine up against a wall. Holds a ton of stuff and is perfect for me. NOTE if you have a lot of heavy stuff, you might want a sturdier product, but if you just have random bins and household stuff. this will work for you.
