Nuschkins: I got hooked into this series because I saw the covers and thought they were so appealing. Little did I know that an entire week would be lost while I read each one back to back. The whole story was intriguing, heartbreaking, and heartwarming all at the same time. Start at the beginning and read them all! Sebastian and Yelena were the perfect end cap to this series.

I always loved Seb from the very beginning so I was looking forward to see how his story would go.

When Yelena is capture omg was that 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥!
Yelena made some choices that left her without anything but Sebastian is a good guy and loves her so much that he recognizes that she risked her life for his so when the reconnect it was fire and heartwarming…
The two of both are just right for each other and I loved the ending.
Can’t wait to read Kingmakers!

noreen: The first half of this book dragged on and on until about 57% when the action picked up and I couldn't put the book down. I really liked Sebastian and Yelena as a couple as I did all of the couples in the series. Sebastian really grows up in the midst of the events in the second half of this book, but we still didn't get to know him enough to believe he could be the don of the family IMO. A couple of things bugged me in this book/series - what the heck is up with Dante, the heir to his family, leaving the mob and moving away (that doesn't seem possible) and Callum becoming mayor of Chicago when he's the heir to a long standing mob family (that also doesn't seem possible). I liked the epilogue and am excited to see how the story continues through the lives of the children of the couples from the series. I hope we get some information on how all of the characters and families' lives played out over the course of the past 18 years with the new series - that would be nice, because really once each couple got together at the end of the each book basically, that was it. We didn't get to know them further or how their lives progressed or intertwined.

Aleera Anaya Ceres: The perfect ending to an amazing series. It left me wanting more and I absolutely can't wait for the kingmakers series. Sophie is such a fantastic author and I adore all of her books. Wonderfully written!!

Ashley M Fritz: The final book in the Brutal Birthright series does not disappoint, and it's more than you expect.

I had no idea where the plot was going to go - even though each book can be read as a standalone, there are threads and plot points that wove through all 6 books, and to find a way for them to all wrap up and still be an individual love story was badass. Sebastian Gallo is tied to his family's way of life, and through them to all of the other characters and pairs we've met in the novels. This is a story of alliances, respect, and prioritizing what you value. Sebastian and Yelena both learn that they have to stop letting other people tell them who they are.

This is almost like two books in one, because around the 50% mark the craziness really starts and you're just like, holding on while screaming hoping that we get to that happy ending. It is absolutely the start of a rollercoaster, with things inching up and up, the tension winding tighter and tighter, and then you fall, and your stomach leaves your body and you're screaming. Just before it got crazy, I looked at my husband, curled in a little ball on my couch and said "something bad is going to happen but I don't know...
