r8erfan13: Even though the product description says the fan is controlled by a remote it doesn't come with one. It also says that it comes with the batteries for the remote so I assumed it had a remote. Unfortunately I put it up before I noticed this piece of information.
The fan is nice and gives out a lot of air but not having a remote is disappointing. Amazon had me reach out to lowes and lowes told me that the remote is sold separately and the product description on this page is wrong.

Amazon Customer: We installed it in the A-frame over our catwalk with a 4 foot extension rod (sold separately) and it works as expected with no wobble. Instructions were clear and easy to follow.
