Clayton W.: I have a son under 2 years old who was a preemie, and has some delays. He's still not drinking from an open top cup like some others near his age and is in occupational therapy for those delays. His therapist brought cups like these to one of his sessions to show him how to pour things such as rice, pasta, sand, water, etc. Unlike other cups, he had no hesitation to putting these cups to his lips like you would to take a drink and I immediately decided to buy some in an effort to teach him how to use a cup to drink. Yes, he still brings these cups to his lips to drink, and it's a skill he is still working on, but I'm surprised how useful these little cups have become. In addition to therapy and drinking, they're the perfect size for mixing medicine for use with an NG tube, holding child portions of snacks like Cheerios or Goldfish, or even mise en place (a French culinary phrase which means "putting in place" or "gather". It refers to the setup required before cooking.) for small amounts of ingredients such as salt, pepper, and other spices.
