Ron B.: Let me start by saying that I hate to solder. So when I saw this product that combines soldering and shrink wrapping wire connections in one easy step, I was sold. They did work as promised on my marine lights connections. As others have stated, it is better to use a heat gun versus an open flame to provide the right amount of heat without damaging the wires.

WeedWorks: Best used with a heat gun but can be used remotely with a small flame (match/lighter) if you’re careful. Makes a tight waterproof connection. Great variety of sizes.

Gene Lissy: The smaller ones are much easier to heat up and melt the solder. The larger ones are more difficult to use but I do like them.

MCMXC: Not quite as simple and quick as you may assume, they require a prolonged period of heating. The solder doesn’t fully penetrate the wires like the traditional Method. Definitely recommend using them in tight areas/inside the vehicle.

Gary: I have seen bad reviews on these, but feel they are wrong. I used them for the first time and they worked great. I used a torch type lighter and everything melted perfectly, including solder. The key is to let everything cool down and harden, and be careful not to over heat them. So A++ on quality and delivery speed.
