Amazon Customer: These were amazing for catching the excess milk. When I used them purely to pump I didn’t get much milk right away but once I would massage my breasts and wait a few minutes I would get much more! They are so convenient for traveling and they don’t hurt. I used this pump as well as an electric one but this one was 100% my favorite one because of the convenience and not having to be stuck hooked up to a pump.

B. Steinberger: I wish I knew about this product earlier. I have two and I pump with them and I get the same amount like an electric pump, with less pain and only one part to clean. I only need help from a manual pump for the let down, then it’s quicker. After all the sterilization the silicone gets a little loose, but for that price a bought a new one. Nice thing to have for pumping and breastfeeding mothers

Anna B: I purchased the Haakaa as a way to catch my let down because I was leaking EVERYWHERE! I was recommended this from my lactation consultant and it has been a game changer. I originally got the one Haakaa with the ladybug combo to try it out since my other breast would drench my baby and myself while nursing. But now I purchased a second Haakaa because I noticed that my now more alert little one (~1 mth) loves to wake up to me pumping with my Spectra 2 (great electrical pump). I recommend purchasing two Haakaa's for both let down and if your pump eventually bothers your baby. Note: The ladybug needs to be placed in a bra to work and it's a little uncomfortable for me. But will probably be more useful once I am out the house.

How I use the product:
- Nursing: I use it on my bare breast without a bra when nursing. When nursing it stays on rather well except sometimes my baby likes to kick it off but it depends on your nursing position.

- Pumping: I usually only pump one breast at a time with my electrical pump, so I use the one Haakaa to catch the let down from the other breast before I get to it. Then I pour whatever let down I get into the pump bottles...

Amazon Customer: It's a good product but I did not use it much as I was actively breastfeeding. If I use hakka while feeding, my baby would start playing with it instead of breastfeeding g

Meera Mennies: I wish I had used these before I gave birth! I use the haaka for my letdown while I’m pumping my other side, or in the car when I feel myself start to leak and can’t pump. Also when I am about to or am in the middle of pumping and have to stop for some reason, it is easy to wear to get up quickly to fix a bottle or use the bathroom or change a diaper. Occasionally I get more out of my haaka than I do my pump and it makes pumping so much quicker and easier because I don’t have to pump both sides for as long and the haaka does all the work itself. Once I am done pumping I’ll put a haaka on both sides and it pulls out whatever was remaining even when I was sure there was nothing left. It’s helped me increase my supply (in the easiest way) while I’m struggling to find a correct flange size for my pump. As someone with bigger breasts and cannot find a good hands free pump that works for me, I appreciate that the haaka allows me to be hands free so I can maximize the time I have to myself while still doing what I can to collect milk for my baby.

Alison19: Baby #3. I used electric and manual pumps for both other kids. I’ve tried (and still have) Medela, Nuk, and Willow electric pumps with traditional and hands free attachments. I’ve also used Lansinoh and Medela manual pumps. All do what they claim to do but none are ideal for a working mom (which I am).

With my last baby, in particular, I was horribly bothered by how loud ALL of the pumps are (even the manual pumps) because when I’m pumping, it’s because I’m working (i.e., not with baby); not only is the incredibly loud sound of the pump distracting for me, but it makes others uncomfortable and I refuse to pump in a bathroom; it just seems disempowering to do so. With baby #2, I went to a manual pump so I would have more flexibility and discretion and while I loved these attributes of the manual pump, I found that even they make noise and my hand would get sore having to pump so much ... also, again, I’m pumping because I’m working and, maybe I’m uncoordinated, but I found it hard to pump with one hand and work (write or type) with the other OR to have a conversation with someone while also focusing on pumping (insert awkward suction sounds during...
