-Disclaimer- This is my first sketch kit. I'm very inexperienced and I know next to nothing about drawing.

Short version..
I like it a lot and would buy it again even though I've yet to use one item in it! It's a new hobby and this kit is a major upgrade from the dollar store pencils I've been using.

Long version..
With that being said...I was slightly confused as to what I had purchased and when I first opened it these were some of my questions.
"What are charcoal rods, graphite rods, solid paper pens, willow branches, and chalk paint brushes? Why does my set have 39 pieces? Did they include the case as an item? The picture with what it "contains" has 40 pieces plus the case. How am I getting confused and what is going on?"

This is what I've concluded in my search.
Simply google or youtube what you don't know how to use. And lastly...
